Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia retires as desired

Kinhtedothi - Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, 59 years old, Chairman of Dong Thap People's Committee, requested to retire nearly 3 years earlier than the regulation, and was approved by the Central Party Secretariat.

On February 10, Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a conference of key officials. At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee announced the decision of the Central Party Secretariat to allow Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, to retire early as desired.

According to the decision, Mr. Nghia will retire from February 15, and policies will be implemented according to current regulations.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia expressed his thanks to the Party Committee, agencies, cadres, civil servants and public employees of Dong Thap province for accompanying and supporting him during his tenure.

Speaking at the decision-giving ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated Mr. Pham Thien Nghia's contributions to the development of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and the rise of the lotus land.

"During his work, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia has always been a responsible officer, concerned with the assigned work, always united and harmonious in relationships with comrades and colleagues and always demonstrated the mettle and sense of responsibility of a "leader" in the work." - Mr. Le Quoc Phong emphasized.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, 59 years old, is from Lap Vo district, Dong Thap. He has held the following positions: Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Secretary of the Thap Muoi District Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.

In December 2020, the People's Council of Dong Thap province, term 9, term 2020 - 2025, held the 17th session to elect Mr. Pham Thien Nghia to hold the position of Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Van Duong who retired.
