Carefully prepare for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024

On November 6, in Hanoi , Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired a working session with agencies and units on preparations for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

According to reports from the authorities, the infrastructure preparation work for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 according to the project to upgrade the infrastructure of the Exhibition area has so far completed the indoor areas, and the site has been handed over to the contractor to construct the decoration part.

Regarding the display of weapons and equipment in the establishment, the plan for organizing the display of weapons and equipment in the establishment of the Army and the list of products on display has been approved. The indoor display booth is divided into two areas, in which the area under the General Department of Defense Industry will display 7 product groups, such as guns, equipment, accessories; high-tech weapons and defense products under research and development. Up to now, more than 140 companies from 26 countries have responded to participate in the indoor display, 3 countries participate in the outdoor display.

Regarding the exhibition of achievements in building the armed forces and building the national defense, the Economic Department has submitted to the Ministry of National Defense for approval to organize the exhibition of the achievements in building the armed forces and building the national defense and the plan to select contractors for deployment and implementation. Currently, there are 11 ministries, branches and localities registered to participate in the exhibition of dual-use economic products.

Training and demonstration work of the Special Forces and Border Guards continues to be deployed; communication work about the Exhibition is also promoted, especially digital communication.

On behalf of the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan acknowledged and commended the agencies and units for proactively coordinating closely in implementing assigned tasks according to schedule and requirements. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army emphasized that this is a very important final stage in the preparation work, requiring agencies and units to continue to coordinate and cooperate closely, perfect plans for displaying, promoting and introducing products; subcommittees regularly review assigned tasks, grasp the content and progress of implementation, deploy synchronously, ensure the correct requirements and objectives, make the highest efforts, ensure the success of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024./.
