Preparing to start many projects in the old Gia Loc district area

Inspecting 4 communes in the old Gia Loc district, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Tran Van Quan requested careful preparation to start important projects.

Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Tran Van Quan inspected the National Highway 37 bypass project through the old Gia Loc town.

On the morning of October 30, comrade Tran Van Quan, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee inspected the progress of implementation and disbursement of public investment capital for a number of projects in the old Gia Loc district and the operation of the 2-level local government model.

Directly inspecting the National Highway 37 bypass project through the old Gia Loc town (the section connecting Thong Nhat bridge, National Highway 37 with Ring Road I), comrade Tran Van Quan acknowledged the active implementation of the project by localities and units.

This project has a total length of nearly 5.4 km, the section passing through Gia Loc commune is 3.911 km long, the road width is 34 m, the total recovered area is 12.58 ha, of which 0.43 ha is residential land. As of June 30, Gia Loc commune has completed site clearance of 95.9% of the total recovered land area. With the remaining work volume of the project, comrade Tran Van Quan requested Gia Loc commune to speed up and ensure the set progress.

After the field inspection, comrade Tran Van Quan chaired a working session with Gia Loc, Gia Phuc, Yet Kieu and Truong Tan communes on the situation of public investment disbursement and operation of two-level local government.

The Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the units and localities that have strived to successfully complete the assigned tasks in the past time.

Communes need to actively overcome difficulties and promote the good results achieved, especially in handling administrative procedures for people, speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital, doing a good job of site clearance, and preparing to start projects by the end of 2025.

In the context of heavy workload after the merger, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee reminded the cadres and civil servants to make efforts, not to be hasty, to work with certainty, and to deploy all solutions to perform well the assigned tasks.

For Gia Loc commune, there are 2 important projects: the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, the National Highway 37 bypass through the old Gia Loc town, which requires coordination with departments and branches to focus on site clearance, handover on schedule, and urge contractors to construct. The West Hai Phong Construction Investment Project Management Board strives to start 9 projects before November 15, focusing on completing them on schedule.

Chairman of Gia Loc Commune People's Committee Pham Van Thung reported on some difficulties in site clearance for projects in the commune.

Localities focus on doing well the preparation work for the groundbreaking of Hai Duong Nam station on December 19 in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister; at the same time, review the whole and propose resettlement projects in the period of 2026 - 2030 to have a long-term plan, in line with the planning, in line with other projects in the area.
