Prepare to organize the 8th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award Ceremony

At the meeting, a representative of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award Standing Committee said that the works participating in this year's Golden Hammer and Sickle Award at central and local press agencies continued to be rich in themes and genres and covered all provinces and cities across the country.

From 120 works selected by the Preliminary Council for the final round, the Final Council reviewed and unanimously selected the best works to award 6 A prizes, 12 B prizes, 18 C prizes, 30 Encouragement prizes and 6 thematic prizes including: Prize for excellent works on organizing the implementation of the Party Congress Resolution; Prize for excellent works on innovation and improving the quality of political and ideological education work; Prize for excellent works on innovation in the Party's leadership and governing methods; Prize for excellent works on protecting the Party's ideological foundation; Prize for excellent works on fighting against " peaceful evolution"; Prize for excellent works on discovering typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to 15 press agencies, journalists' associations, propaganda departments, and party committees with outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the award. This year, the Organizing Committee also selected a number of outstanding figures in the award-winning works to commend and reward.

In her concluding remarks at the meeting, Comrade Truong Thi Mai commended and highly appreciated the serious and objective judging work of the Preliminary Council, the Final Council and the active and thoughtful preparation of the agencies and units that co-organized the award. She emphasized that the Ceremony to announce and award the 8th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle) - 2023 is an event of important political significance, scheduled to be held on February 1, 2024 on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024). Accordingly, Comrade Truong Thi Mai requested the Central Organizing Committee and the agencies that co-organized the award to carefully review the assigned tasks, deploy and perform well a number of preparations for the Award Ceremony.

The announcement and award ceremony needs to be organized carefully and solemnly, both politically and artistically, attractively, worthy of a major press award, creating new motivation and spirit, encouraging the entire Party and people to strive to successfully complete the goals and tasks in 2024.
