Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2024 will return in October

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), Vietnam Airlines and the Hanoi People's Committee will bring the concert program Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2024 (VACC 2024) back to the Capital this fall.

This year, Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2024 will bring to the audience in the capital and in Vietnam for the first time an impressive performance by the Russian National Orchestra (RNO) in two nights of performances on October 12-13, 2024 at Ho Guom Theater.

The concert promises to bring the audience unique performances including the Vietnamese National Anthem arranged with classic music, performed by the Russian National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor César Álvarez (Spain) with a special performance by piano soloist Eva Gevorgyan (Russia) and some ballet excerpts by principal dancers from the Bolshoi Theater.

Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert 2024 will return in October

The RNO Orchestra was founded in Moscow in 1990 by conductor Mikhail Pletnev and has become the embodiment and one of the brightest symbols of the Russian musical tradition. In 2004, the RNO became the first orchestra in the history of Russian symphony orchestras to receive a Grammy Award. The most prestigious music magazine in Europe, Gramophone, ranked the Russian National Symphony Orchestra among the 20 best orchestras in the world.

Held regularly since 2017, VACC is the first outdoor classical concert in Vietnam with the participation of famous international symphony orchestras in the world. This is a major cultural event within the economic , cultural and social development cooperation agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Hanoi City to promote propaganda and promote the image of tourism in the capital.

As the national airline, Vietnam Airlines hopes that VACC will become a new bridge for classical theater, connecting the people and tourists of the capital with the world music scene. At the same time, the event opens up new opportunities to promote the image of the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi, the country and the people of Vietnam, who are open and love art, to the world.

The units accompanying Hanoi City and Vietnam Airlines in the VACC 2024 concert program are Ho Guom Theater and Thanh Viet Production. Ho Guom Theater is in the top 10 best opera houses in the world honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) and has become a center for performing arts in Vietnam and internationally. Meanwhile, Thanh Viet Production has many years of experience in famous international music cooperation programs such as the Monsoon International Music Festival from 2014 to 2023, Vietnam Airlines Classic - Hanoi Concert from 2017 to 2019 with the performance of the London Symphony Orchestra.
