The political art program “Glory of the Vietnamese National Assembly” is an epic of faith, intelligence, and aspiration, recreating the proud 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly, from the first general election to the great contributions of the National Assembly to the cause of national revolution and the development of the country. From the first general election in 1946 - the event marking the turning point when the Vietnamese people first held the ballot to decide the fate of the nation - people, to the journey of steadfastness and perseverance in resistance, nation building, and unification; continuing the journey of innovation and international integration..., the Vietnamese National Assembly has gradually matured, becoming the highest State power agency, representing the will and aspirations of the people.

The program is one of the important events organized under the Project to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam. This is also the first time that a national-scale political art program about the National Assembly has been organized, where music blends with history, emotions are sublimated in each proud melody. The participation of leading singers such as: People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Thanh Ngan, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singers Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Hien Thuc... together with choir and dance group vividly recreated the glorious 80-year journey of the National Assembly of Vietnam through music and art.

Within the framework of the Program, the delegates went back in time to the sacred land of Tan Trao - the origin of the revolution, where the National Congress took place in August 1945. The National Congress is considered the predecessor of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Program also vividly recreated the atmosphere of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam from the capital Hanoi to the Southern provinces and even the Western canals, reliving the boiling atmosphere on the day the entire people exercised their right to be masters; listening to the advice of President Ho Chi Minh from the first General Election that still holds true today: "All National Assembly deputies promise to the people that they are elected to the National Assembly to be National Assembly deputies, not to be mandarins, not to sit on top and take advantage, but to be absolutely loyal servants of the people".

A unique artistic highlight in the Program is the light sculpture "The Power of the People" performed by artist Bui Van Tu. The work is a harmonious combination of historical and artistic values, vividly expressing the close relationship between leaders and people, while honoring the strength of solidarity, patriotism and the will to master the country of the nation. This is not only an artistic creation but also a reminder of responsibility, belief and aspiration to build the country; to pay tribute to the past, honor the present and look forward to a bright future of the Vietnamese people.

During the program, delegates also watched a reportage recognizing the contributions of the Vietnamese National Assembly during the resistance war, affirming the role of the National Assembly until the day the country was reunified, and the Holo performance "Highlights of the National Assembly sessions during the renovation period, especially in the era of rising up".

In particular, it vividly recreated the special marks of the National Assembly in the era of growth such as: The National Assembly amended and supplemented a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; passed laws and resolutions on the organization of the apparatus, creating a more complete legal corridor to implement two-level local government and rearrange the country, merging and rearranging from 63 provinces and cities to 34 provinces and cities... These are important milestones in the constitutional and legislative work, of historical significance at the Ninth Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The historic spirit was continued in the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly when legislative work continued to be raised to a new level with more than 50 laws and resolutions being considered and passed, covering most of the key areas for the country's development in the new era, promptly institutionalizing the Party's policies and resolutions on science and technology, integration, private economy, education and training, people's health care...

The National Assembly has made efforts, urgently, and accompanied the country's process of rising up; properly implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam "to be one step ahead in terms of institutions, to dare to open the way, to dare to repair the way, to dare to decide on difficult issues, new tasks, and unprecedented fields" so that the country "keeps pace with the times, even has to take shortcuts, go ahead and pave the way in special fields".

Performance at the Program

Throughout its 80 years of glory and pride, the Vietnamese National Assembly has always been a symbol of the people's hearts, of the nation's intelligence, of its mettle and its aspiration to reach higher and further. With a solid foundation and continuous efforts to innovate, the Vietnamese National Assembly will continue to develop strongly, truly being a living embodiment of the people's will and aspirations, contributing to bringing the country steadily into an era of prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy development for the nation.
