The political and artistic program "Star of Independence 2025," themed "For a Prosperous Vietnam," is organized by the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine, the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi City Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee of Hanoi City. It commemorates the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day (September 2nd), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force, and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security. The program was broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television, rebroadcast on Hanoi Radio and Television, People's Public Security Television (ANTV), and disseminated through other social media platforms.
The program opened impressively with grand scenes showcasing the pride and patriotism of the Vietnamese people throughout different periods, especially the historic autumn 80 years ago – the time of the successful August Revolution, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in Ba Dinh Square; the solemn flag-raising ceremony and the resounding "Marching Song" in the Ho Guom Theater auditorium.

In Chapter 1, themed "Under the majestic banner of the flying golden star," through historical documents, commentary, and artistic performances, the program continues to affirm that "independence" is a fundamental right and value that the Vietnamese people have fought for thousands of years to "win, preserve, and protect," including the Ho Chi Minh era, culminating in the founding of the Party in 1930, President Ho Chi Minh's return to the country in 1941 to directly lead, from the meticulous preparation with the establishment of the Viet Minh, the Vietnam Propaganda and Liberation Army, the series of events in Tan Trao in the historic autumn of 1945, the August Revolution, and the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945. Following that were "thirty years of struggle for national independence" with glorious milestones: Dien Bien Phu in 1954, the Great Victory of Spring on April 30, 1975, and the wars to defend the Fatherland on the Southwestern (1978) and Northern (1979) borders. All for the sake of two words: Independence and Freedom.
Throughout that proud journey, from the founding of the nation, the People's Public Security Force was born during the height of the August Revolution in 1945 and played a crucial role in protecting national independence, security, and social order amidst new circumstances and a fledgling government. The People's Public Security Force was a sharp sword protecting the Party, the new government, the new regime, and maintaining social order; it was an integral part of the two great resistance wars in both regions until the great victory of Spring 1975, a war marked by hardship, sacrifice, but glorious and heroic achievements.

In Chapter 1, viewers had the opportunity to enjoy several works: “The Oath at Dawn” (composed by Ho Trong Tuan; performed by Do To Hoa and choir); “Under the Shadow of the Revolutionary Tree” (composed by Hoang Huy; performed by Hoang Tung and choir); “August 19th” (composed by Xuan Oanh; performed by Viet Danh and male vocal group); Medley “Through the Northwest - Artillery Pulling Song - Liberation of Dien Bien” (composed by Nguyen Thanh, Hoang Van, Do Nhuan; performed by Vu Thang Loi and male and female vocal group); “Gratitude to Sister Vo Thi Sau” (composed by Nguyen Duc Toan; performed by Do To Hoa); “Uncle Ho’s Words Shake the Four Directions” (composed by Nguyen Lay, Tuan Long; performed by Hoang Tung and male and female vocal group); Instrumental music and folk dance: “Oh, Cuc” (Poem: Yen Thanh; Music: Nguyen Trung Nguyen; performed by Pham Phuong Thao); "Round Footprints on the Sand" (composed by Tran Tien; performed by Anh Tu).
Chapter 2, themed "The Journey to Building Peace," reflects the nation's efforts to overcome difficulties and achieve fundamental development successes in the process of reform. This journey includes countless silent sacrifices made during peacetime by cadres, Party members, and soldiers. In the journey of building peace, protecting the country, and bringing happiness to the people, we acknowledge the silent sacrifices of various forces, including the People's Public Security Force, the People's Army, and medical personnel who are always ready to fight and sacrifice for the peace and security of the people.

Many famous works were also successfully adapted by artists in Chapter 2, such as: "The Song of Construction" (composed by Hoang Van; performed by Dong Hung); "Behind the Peace" (composed by Quach Thai Duy; performed by Vu Thang Loi); "The Soldier of the People's Heart" (composed by An Hieu; performed by Hoang Hong Ngoc); "Flying Over the East Sea" (composed by Le Viet Khanh; performed by Bui Hoang Yen, Minh Thuy), "Continuing the Story of Peace" (composed by Nguyen Van Chung; performed by Ha An Huy).
Chapter 3, themed "Aspiration for a Prosperous Vietnam," offered delegates and audience members the opportunity to enjoy many special artistic performances, including a medley of "He Is Ho Chi Minh" (composed by Anh Tu) and "The Song of Ho Chi Minh" (composed by Ewan MacColl, Vietnamese lyrics by Phu An) performed by Anh Tu and the choir; a medley of "The Party's Call to Arms" (composed by Hoang Hong Ngoc) and "Vietnam, Spring Has Arrived" (composed by Huy Du) performed by Hoang Bach, Ha An Huy, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Bui Hoang Yen, Minh Thuy and a mixed male and female vocal group…

Through artistic language and numerous documentary films, Chapter 3 conveys the message about the conditions, tasks, and reforms being carried out at breakneck speed, "no longer possible," to build a truly strong and prosperous Vietnam. This also affirms that the memory of the historic autumn of 1945, along with the glorious history of the Vietnamese nation, will forever be a source of pride, motivation, and a foundation for us to continue building an independent, free, happy, prosperous, civilized, and thriving Vietnam with a high standing in the international arena.
During the "Independence Star" program, many meaningful gifts and beautiful bouquets of flowers were respectfully presented by Party and State leaders and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and those who have made contributions to the country.
