According to internal sources, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club proposed to change its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai and accept about 7-8 members from the old team. This is a step in the comprehensive restructuring plan after the merger, aiming to win a ticket to V-League in the near future of the Southeast representative.
Meanwhile, the (former) Dong Nai Club, once the transfer is complete, will return to the Third Division and start over instead of disbanding the team. However, the final decision from these proposals will be announced at the end of next week.
In addition to the above proposals, Truong Tuoi Group, the team’s parent company, also worked with the leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee and presented the development orientation in the new period. Notably, the proposal to upgrade Dong Nai Stadium to become the official home stadium from next season, while keeping Binh Phuoc Stadium as a youth training center, is a highlight.
Previously, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai will compete in the first half of the 2025-2026 First Division season at the old stadium, before the Dong Nai stadium is completely upgraded.
As for Cong Phuong's team, they have had two impressive seasons in the First Division (winning the bronze medal in the 2023-2024 season and the silver medal in the 2024-2025 season). Before the new season, this team also activated a series of transfers, as well as appointing head coach Nguyen Viet Thang and inviting former player Nguyen Quang Hai as assistant.
Their squad currently includes many experienced players such as Cong Phuong, Minh Vuong, Xuan Truong and Le Van Son..., creating a foundation to realize their ambition of promotion in the upcoming season.
