According to internal sources, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club has proposed changing its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai and accepting approximately 7 or 8 members from the former team. This is a step in a comprehensive restructuring plan following the merger, aiming to secure promotion to the V-League in the near future for the Southeast Asian representative.
Meanwhile, the former Dong Nai Club, having completed its transfer, will return to the Third Division and start over from scratch instead of disbanding the team. However, the final decision on these proposals will be announced at the end of next week.
In addition to the above proposals, Truong Tuoi Group, the team's managing entity, also worked with the leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and presented its development orientation for the new phase. Notably, they proposed upgrading the Dong Nai Stadium to become the official home stadium from the next season, while retaining the Binh Phuoc Stadium as a youth training center.

Previously, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai will play the first half of the 2025-2026 First Division season at their old stadium, before the Dong Nai stadium is completely upgraded.
As for Cong Phuong's team, they have had two impressive seasons in the First Division (winning bronze in the 2023-2024 season and silver in the 2024-2025 season). Ahead of the new season, the team has also activated a series of transfers, as well as appointed head coach Nguyen Viet Thang and invited former star player Nguyen Quang Hai to be his assistant.
Their squad currently boasts many experienced players such as Cong Phuong, Minh Vuong, Xuan Truong, and Le Van Son, laying the foundation to realize their ambition of promotion in the upcoming season.
