On the morning of February 19th, speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Van Cu, 57 years old, father of Nguyen Quang Sang, the boy whose nose was broken in an assault that caused a stir on social media, said that the family had transferred Sang from Vinh City General Hospital to Military Hospital 4 for further treatment. The CT scan results showed that Sang suffered a fracture of the main nasal bone.
Sang's mental state has now stabilized. It is expected that Sang will be able to return to school in the next few days. Mr. Cu's family is also cooperating with the police and guardians in taking Sang's statement to assist in the investigation.
Mr. Pham Xuan Chung, the principal of Vinh University High School for Gifted Students, said that the school had visited the hospital to inquire about and encourage the student who was assaulted, hoping that he would soon recover and return to school.

Around 5 PM on February 18th, a person who drove a car parked at the parking lot and then walked across the road, allegedly colliding with a male student wearing a delivery driver's uniform while stopped at a red light.

"When I saw the boy being beaten, I ran over to intervene but it was too late. The more I tried to pull the man away, the more he kept punching me. After a while, I managed to pull him onto the sidewalk, and only then did he calm down," Thao recounted.
Ms. Thao also affirmed that she is not an acquaintance, nor the wife or girlfriend of the man who assaulted the male student, as false information shared on social media claimed.
Through this incident, Ms. Thao also hopes that everyone will be calmer and not let a minor collision on the street affect themselves and others.
Increase penalties to deter future offenses.
Many readers of Tuoi Tre Online expressed their outrage at this act of violence and urged authorities to investigate and handle the matter promptly.
Ana shared: "Every day, social media is flooded with videos of people being assaulted. Because the penalties aren't deterrent enough, the number of cases hasn't decreased. I suggest increasing the penalties and adding monetary compensation for victims to hopefully reduce the number of incidents."

Sharing the same view, Tien Do commented that in recent months there have been so many thugs, who resort to violence even over minor collisions, even after many cases have been prosecuted and brought to trial.
"Perhaps it's because the publicity isn't sufficient. Usually, when an incident occurs, the media reports it extensively, but then it fades away. Few people know whether there was an indictment, how the trial went, or what the sentence was... So there's no deterrent effect anymore. The thugs don't know anything about it, so they're not afraid," Tien Do wondered.
Raising concerns about the increasing number of brutal assaults on others simply because of traffic accidents, all due to thuggish behavior and disregard for the law, Rayluan suggested that such traffic accident assault cases should be quickly tried with heavy prison sentences as a deterrent.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on the afternoon of February 18th, Nguyen Quang Sang, 17 years old, residing in Quang Trung ward, Vinh city, was stopped at a red light when he collided with Dang Thai Hoang, 30 years old, as Hoang was walking across the road.
The video clip of the incident, shared on social media, shows Hoang punching and kicking Sang repeatedly. The male student had no time to react and could only cover his face to dodge the blows.
That same evening, the Vinh City Police invited Hoang to the station for questioning and to take his statement.
