A dedicated teacher "spreads the fire" of scientific research

With more than 20 years of dedication to the career of "cultivating people", teacher Tran Thi Minh Hau, a teacher at Lao Cai High School, is known as the person who inspires scientific research for many generations of students. The topics she guides not only achieve high results in provincial and national competitions, but also bring humanistic values, inspire creativity, help students discover their potential and live a useful life.

Born in Tran Yen, Yen Bai , from a young age, Tran Thi Minh Hau showed the qualities of a leader. During her 12 years of high school, she was always an exemplary class monitor, achieved excellent results and won the National Encouragement Prize in Literature.

After graduating from high school, Hau passed the entrance exams to two universities: the Institute of Journalism and Communication and Hanoi Pedagogical University II. With a love for the "ferryman profession", the podium, and chalk, Hau chose to enter the Faculty of Literature Pedagogy, Hanoi Pedagogical University II.

After graduating, teacher Hau volunteered to teach in Si Ma Cai, one of the poorest and most disadvantaged areas of Lao Cai province at that time. However, the years of staying at school and in the village have tempered her will, helping her become more mature and resilient. Since 2016, teacher Hau has been transferred to teach at Lao Cai High School, and from there, her journey of "spreading the fire" of scientific research officially began.

For teacher Hau, scientific research is not a competition to win prizes, but a journey to awaken passion, courage and aspiration to contribute in each student.

Ms. Hau shared: “I always remind myself to keep learning, keep learning. In addition to local training courses, I also register to attend central training courses to update my knowledge and new skills. Only then will I be confident enough to guide my students to do highly applicable topics.

The topics I guide are mainly in the field of social behavior, bringing value not only in scientific data but also in conveying to students humanistic values ​​through each topic."

Under her leadership, many topics have achieved outstanding results, winning first and second prizes for many consecutive years in Lao Cai province's youth and children's creativity competitions or central-level scientific research competitions. Notable among them are the topics: "Raising awareness of border sovereignty protection" won the national first prize; "Building happy schools - say no to school violence" won the second prize or in the 2024 - 2025 school year, the topic "Impact of AI Gene on learning of students in mountainous areas" excellently won the national second prize.

Nguyen Dai An, the author of the topic about AI Gen, emotionally expressed: Ms. Hau is a great source of inspiration for us. She helped us from choosing the topic, solving the problem to implementing the method. We would not have been able to succeed without her help.

Inspired by the saying of educator Macarenco: "Teaching is a profession that uses personality to educate personality", Ms. Hau has become a shining example of self-study, creativity and determination. She always silently and persistently spreads positive energy, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning at the school. Ms. Hau's dedication and efforts have been recognized with many certificates of merit from all levels and sectors.
