Transport and port stocks soar, VN-Index surpasses 1,290 points

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value for this session reached over 19,457.75 billion VND.

Foreign investors net sold VND 1,105 billion, with stocks heavily sold including:FPT (VND 172 billion), HPG (VND 118 billion), VNM (VND 100 billion)... Conversely, stocks that were heavily bought included: FRT (VND 45 billion), STB (VND 40 billion), VGR (VND 31 billion)...

Today's session saw VN30 stocks close with 11 gainers, 4 unchanged, and 15 losers.

Among them, GVR performed best, rising 3.43% to 36,200 VND/share, followed by CTG up 2.13% to 33,500 VND/share, MWG up 1.45%, FPT up 1.41%, TPB up 1.38%, STB up 1.14%, and PLX up 1.08%.

Stocks: HDB, MBB,VIB , VPB saw slight increases.

Four stocks: GAS, HPG, SSB, and VJC closed at their reference prices.

Conversely, POW fell 2.15% to 13,650 VND/share, and BCM fell 2.01% to 63,300 VND/share.

The remaining stocks: ACB, BID, BVH, MSN, SAB,SHB , SSI, TCB, VCB, VHM, VIC, VNM, VRE saw slight decreases ranging from 0.11-0.88%.

In terms of sectors, among steel stocks, only HMC decreased by 1.64%, HPG remained unchanged, while the rest performed well. Specifically: DTL increased by 0.75%, HSG increased by 2.13%, NKG increased by 3.11%, SMC increased by 0.35%, TLH increased by 1.13%, and VCA increased by 1.05%.

The majority of securities stocks closed the session in positive territory. VDS surged to its ceiling price of 26,750 VND/share, AGR rose 2.29%, TVB increased 2.18%, ORS gained 1.83%, VIX gained 1.11%, HCM 1.05%, CTS 1.01%, BSI 0.69%, VCI 0.52%, while APG and TVS remained unchanged. Conversely, FTS declined 0.11%, SSI 0.28%, and VND 0.28%.

The banking sector stocks traded mixed. Besides the VN30 group stocks ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, and VIB mentioned above, the remaining stocks showed mixed performance: EIB decreased by 1.26%, LPB increased by 0.38%, MSB increased by 0.68%, and OCB decreased by 0.65%.

The real estate sector saw several breakout stocks such as: SGR and VRC hitting the ceiling price, FDC increasing by 3.25%, NTL by 3.65%, NVT by 5.47%, TEG by 6.14%, and VPH by 4.22%.

The seafood sector saw a surge in performance, with stocks rising by 3.15%, ASM by 3.33%, VHC by 2.98%, CMX by 1.85%, IDI by 5.42%, and ANV by 2.16%.

Notably, in this session, the transportation and port sector surged, with stocks such as HAH, VTO, VOS, VNL, QNP, GSP, and TCO hitting the ceiling price, while VSC rose 4.41%, PVT 5.56%, HVH 3.4%, GMD 4.2%, SFI 5.54%, and TCL 4.71%.

* The Vietnamese stock market index maintained its positive momentum throughout today's session, with the VNXALL-Index closing up 7.58 points (+0.36%) at 2,133.96 points. Total market liquidity reached 849.21 million units, equivalent to a trading value of 22,377.01 billion VND. Across the market, 233 stocks increased in price, 81 remained unchanged, and 171 decreased.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 245.58 points, up 0.59 points (+0.24%). Total trading volume reached over 77.54 million units, with a corresponding transaction value of over 1,615.77 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, there were 109 gainers, 69 unchanged stocks, and 68 losers.

The HNX30 index closed up 2.40 points (+0.44%) at 545.72 points. Trading volume reached approximately 53.40 million units, with a corresponding value of over 1,355.38 billion VND. Among the HNX30 stocks, 16 ended the trading day higher, 3 remained unchanged, and 11 declined.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index rose, closing at 99.56 points, up 0.70 points (+0.71%). Total market liquidity reached over 61.56 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 1,083.92 billion VND. Among UPCoM stocks, 204 ended the trading day higher, 81 remained unchanged, and 108 declined.

* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 3.09 points (+0.24%) at 1,290.67 points. Trading volume reached over 857.74 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 21,578.04 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 243 gainers, 64 unchanged stocks, and 193 losers.

The VN30 index rose 3.07 points (+0.23%) to 1,311.10 points. Trading volume reached over 254.10 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 8,119.54 billion. At the end of the trading day, 11 VN30 stocks increased, 4 remained unchanged, and 15 decreased.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were SHB (over 28.89 million units), VSC (over 22.63 million units), HPG (over 20.25 million units), HSG (over 17.42 million units), and HAG (over 17.10 million units).
