Inspectors from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health conducted a surprise inspection and discovered that UCI International was "enlarging the penis size" of customers even though they had only registered for sauna and massage services.

On the afternoon of April 16th, a representative from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health stated that at the time of the inspection, the facility on Nguyen Van Cu Street, District 1, had two customers receiving consultations and undergoing skin care and "penis enlargement" treatments. The doors to the rooms on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors were all locked.

Authorities requested the establishment's representative to open the doors. The inspection revealed that the 4th and 5th floors were used for customer services, each floor containing one room with three beds and various products. The 6th floor housed a cabinet containing goods and cosmetics for customers. The establishment could not provide invoices or documentation proving the origin of the products, so the goods were temporarily seized.

Upon checking the establishment's social media page, the inspection team discovered advertisements related to men's health services such as "medically approved penis enlargement," "complete facial rejuvenation," wrinkle removal, and skin lifting. Meanwhile, the establishment was granted a business registration certificate by the District 1 People's Committee on January 18, 2024, for sauna, massage, and similar health enhancement services (excluding sports activities).

The Department of Health has suspended the facility's operations and will impose an administrative fine of at least 60 million VND. The District 1 People's Committee is requested to strengthen post-licensing inspections and strictly handle establishments that exploit this sensitive business model to provide illegal services.

Inspectors from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also conducted a surprise inspection of the Saigon Shine Beauty Center in District 3, noting that the facility advertised male health services on social media, using a light-emitting device to "increase penis size." This facility was granted a business registration certificate for skin care by the Department of Planning and Investment and a dental clinic license by the Department of Health. This was the second time authorities had inspected this facility within half a month, and the owner refused to sign the administrative violation report each time.

The Department of Health decided to revoke the facility's operating license for 6 months and fine it 132 million VND. The Department of Health also requested the Department of Planning and Investment to suspend the business activities related to medical examination, treatment, and skin care of this enterprise.

The Department advises people not to blindly believe advertisements on social media but to carefully verify information through various channels, especially the Department's Medical Information Portal, to check the licenses of clinics and doctors, avoiding life-threatening complications. If you suspect a medical facility is operating without a license or during a suspension period, contact the hotline at 0989 401 155 or report it through the Online Health application.
