Daughter returns from Australia to see referee Tran Dinh Thinh for the last time

The only daughter of the late referee Tran Dinh Thinh flew back from Australia to see her father off on his final journey before his burial at Phap Quang Pagoda Cemetery.

The funeral of former FIFA referee Tran Dinh Thinh was held at 9am on August 5. The burial ceremony took place in the presence of friends, colleagues and relatives.

In the sad atmosphere, everyone was waiting for his only daughter. At that time, the 12-year-old niece was rushing from Tan Son Nhat airport to Dinh Quan to see her father for the last time.

Referee Tran Dinh Thinh's family said that his daughter is studying abroad in Australia. She is the daughter of his first wife. When she heard that her father had passed away, her mother went to Australia to pick up her daughter and hold a funeral with her father.

When her mother brought her to meet her father, she burst into tears, causing everyone around her to lose control of their tears. The little girl was innocent and confused, not knowing how to wear mourning clothes.

Mr. Thinh's mother was helped out by family members after fainting many times due to heartache and love for her son. She hugged her grandson, and the whole family burst into tears.

The mother and son finished burning incense and then looked at Mr. Thinh's face for the last time amidst the heartbreaking cries of family and friends.

The funeral of referee Tran Dinh Thinh was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and Mr. Vo Van Hung - Deputy Director of VPF Company.

The funeral will take place at 2:00 p.m. on August 7. After that, referee Tran Dinh Thinh's coffin will be buried at Phap Quang Pagoda cemetery, Dinh Quan Buddhist Church, Dong Nai .
