Police in Na Mèo commune are helping residents reinforce their houses to protect against the storm.
Currently, the police in the mountainous communes of the province have assigned permanent and standby forces and are coordinating with other forces to conduct direct surveys of high-risk areas for landslides, flash floods, and mudslides, especially in locations with steep terrain, weak soil, near rivers, streams, and ravines.
At the same time, units are strengthening patrol and control forces to promptly detect and strictly handle acts of exploiting natural disasters to violate the law. Forces are deployed at traffic points, especially main roads, bridges, underpasses, spillways, areas with deep flooding, or areas at risk of landslides, to warn and guide people to move safely and avoid dangerous areas. People and vehicles are resolutely prohibited from passing through unsafe areas to minimize unfortunate accidents caused by carelessness and negligence.
The police force helped people move to a safe place.
In some areas at high risk of landslides, the commune police force went to each household to disseminate information and encourage people to evacuate, moving people and property to safe places; and organized forces to help families reinforce their houses... before the storm made landfall.
