Staying in the village to help people overcome the consequences of floods
In Avuong commune, as soon as the water receded, the commune police proactively advised the Civil Defense Command to mobilize all forces to coordinate with the military , border guards and local organizations to review and count the damage, support people to clear rocks and soil, and clear landslides. Commune police officers and soldiers waded through the rain and forest, helping people clear mud and soil, rebuild roofs, and overcome damage in the villages of Dang, Ateêp, Azdốc, Bh'loóc...
In addition to helping people rebuild, the commune police also brought food, water, medicine and other necessities to each household that had been isolated for many days. For households with severely damaged houses, the police force and the people rebuilt temporary roofs and arranged safe accommodation. Many poor families were supported with rice, instant noodles, and blankets, helping them to confidently resume production and stabilize their lives soon.

During the days of intense floods, officers and soldiers of Avuong and Tra Leng communes and other mountainous communes repeatedly crossed dozens of landslides to reach isolated areas. There were sections of road that were only wide enough for pedestrians, many sections were flooded with red mud, but the commune police still steadfastly stuck to their bases, carrying bags of rice, boxes of instant noodles, and packs of medicine to promptly support the people.
Join hands to stabilize life
Along with the relief work, the Commune Police coordinated with the Youth Union, Women's Union and local people to cook hundreds of meals to serve households that were evacuated to avoid landslides. Hot meals in the cold rain in the highlands became a valuable spiritual support, warming the relationship between the army and the people in the midst of natural disasters.

In Tra Leng commune, the police force and local people organized to clear rocks, fallen trees, clear roads to ensure traffic, and transport relief goods to remote villages. Commune police walked many kilometers to carry supplies to areas isolated by landslides. Many households expressed their gratitude for the timely help from the police force.
Currently, the main roads in Avuong and Tra Leng are basically open, communication is gradually restored, and people's lives are returning to normal. The police force continues to stay close to the area, monitor areas at risk of landslides, instruct people to reinforce their houses, stock up on food and clean water, and prepare response plans if heavy rains recur in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Viet Huong, Head of Tra Leng Commune Police, said that the unit mobilized all officers and soldiers to divide into teams and reach the farthest villages as soon as possible to promptly support the people.
“In the coming time, we will continue to support activities, help people clean up their houses, coordinate with the authorities to arrange temporary accommodation for families affected by landslides or families in areas at risk of landslides, to help people stabilize their lives. The floods have caused quite heavy damage in many areas, and the recovery work will take a lot of time. The commune police will make every effort, together with the authorities, unions, and socio -political organizations to help people rebuild after the floods,” Lieutenant Colonel Vo Viet Huong shared.
