VFF has confirmed with FPT Play the matches within the first year of cooperation. In June 2023, FPT Play will broadcast live two friendly matches of the Vietnam team, against Hong Kong (China) on June 15 and against Syria on June 20.
In addition, 3 matches of U23 Vietnam in the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers will also be broadcast on FPT Play.
Vietnam national team's matches in the June friendly series are broadcast on FPT Play.
Sharing a common vision in the goal of developing Vietnamese football, VFF and FPT Play have signed a comprehensive and long-term cooperation agreement. Not only marking a new milestone in the effort to seek and mobilize maximum social resources for football, this event also reaffirms FPT Play's role as a pioneer in television copyright work, contributing to the growth of the National Team.
All international matches with the participation and competition of the national team, held in Vietnam, whose television rights are owned by VFF, will be produced and broadcast live by FPT Play on the following infrastructures: terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public screening and exploitation on social networks...
Expressing his confidence in the good cooperative relationship between the two sides, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation affirmed: “With the advantage of being the unit that simultaneously holds the broadcasting copyright of national professional football tournaments and many other international tournaments of the continent in recent years, FPT Play is a reliable partner, with full potential and experience in implementing the above tasks. I believe that VFF will work with FPT Play to bring special football experiences to fans nationwide in the near future.”
FPT Play's representative also said that the unit is ready to negotiate and make every effort to create all conditions to share benefits related to copyright of matches with the participation of the Vietnam National Team to all media units nationwide.
FPT Play is currently negotiating with broadcast TV stations in Vietnam to broadcast national team matches, in order to best serve the needs of fans across the country.
