For the benefit of workers
With the motto “Employees are valuable assets”, Khatoco Tobacco Factory’s Trade Union always pays close attention to the material and spiritual life of nearly 700 union members and employees. In the context of the economy being affected by many impacts, the Trade Union always accompanies the Board of Directors to ensure jobs, stable income and fully implement policies and regimes for employees.

The union also coordinated well the activities to take care of workers' lives. The unit organized buses to pick up and drop off workers; regular health check-ups; improved the quality of shift meals at 28,000 VND/meal; compensated for harmful substances in kind; organized gift giving on holidays and Tet; maintained the annual awarding of Khatoco scholarships to workers' children... The union well implemented the grassroots democracy regulations; annually organized workers' conferences to listen to the thoughts, aspirations and recommendations of workers. Opinions were received, responded to and resolved promptly, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. The factory's collective labor agreement was signed with many provisions more favorable to employees such as: 14 days of annual leave, paid personal leave, health insurance for employees... From the Khatoco Shelter Fund, on the occasion of Lunar New Year, the union organized visits and gave gifts to dozens of workers in difficult circumstances, single parents with small children, living in rented accommodation...
The unit has always paid attention to and implemented well the work of labor safety and hygiene. The union cooperates with the government to develop and promulgate regulations on labor safety and hygiene; organizes periodic training; fully equips personal protective equipment. The working environment is increasingly improved "green - clean - beautiful". The factory strictly implements regulations on food safety in the collective kitchen. The unit also actively deploys and implements many welcoming projects aimed at taking care of workers. A typical project is the "Worker's canteen and relaxation space", with a budget of 8.8 billion VND, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and care of the company's leaders and the union organization for the workers. Mr. Vo Nhat Duy - a factory worker shared: "After nearly 10 years of working with the unit, I clearly feel the care and concern of the company's leaders and the union. It is that care that creates trust and attachment among workers".
Spread the emulation movement
Along with taking care of the lives of employees, the Trade Union also actively and extensively implemented emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good workers, creative workers". Emulation and reward work was well implemented, promptly praising outstanding individuals and collectives, thereby encouraging and motivating employees to actively compete in researching innovations and improving techniques, contributing to improving labor productivity, improving the working environment, reducing work pressure, ensuring safety, and improving the quality of the unit's products. In the period of 2020 - 2025, the unit had 14 initiatives and 155 solutions recognized, many of which reached the corporation level. Typically, Chief Engineer Nguyen Duy Khue was honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award in 2023 and the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2020 and 2022. He was also honored at the 11th National Emulation Congress of Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers. In addition, social and volunteer activities such as: Giving gifts to poor children, Agent Orange victims... were also launched and effectively implemented by the union.
With continuous efforts, from 2020 to 2025, Khatoco Tobacco Factory's Trade Union has continuously achieved the title of "Excellently completing tasks". In the coming time, the factory's Trade Union will continue to promote the spirit of "Solidarity - Responsibility - Innovation - Creativity", taking better care of union members' lives, contributing to the successful completion of the unit's production and business tasks, contributing to the development of the corporation, as well as the socio-economic development of the province.
