Ms. Le Thi Dung, Director of Long Tan Lang Son Company Limited, said: Realizing that Loc Binh is a district with a lot of potential and strength with a pine growing area with a large area for harvesting resin, in March 2014, the company decided to invest in building a factory to produce colophan and pine essential oil in Tu Doan commune, Loc Binh district with an area of ​​over 6,000 m2, with a total investment of over 27 billion VND.

To have a stable source of raw materials for the production of colophan and pine essential oil, the company has purchased pine resin from people in some pine-growing communes of Loc Binh district and Dinh Lap, Cao Loc districts...

Ms. Trinh Thu Uyen, Co Piao village, Ai Quoc commune, Loc Binh district said: My family currently has about 4 hectares of pine trees for exploitation. On average, my family harvests nearly 9 tons of pine resin each year. Previously, after harvesting, my family and other households in the area sold to traders to export raw products to China, so the price was unstable. Since the district has a pine resin processing factory, people have had a stable outlet for their products, so they can rest assured in production. For about 3 years now, I have purchased pine resin from people and resold it to Long Tan Lang Son Company Limited as raw material for colophan and pine essential oil for export. On average, I purchase over 1,000 tons of pine resin from people each year. Currently, pine resin is being purchased at a price ranging from 33 to 36 thousand VND/kg, depending on the quality. Thanks to the development of pine plantation, many households have income from 150 to 300 million VND/year.

It is known that, in order to ensure the production of products that meet the requirements and conditions for export to foreign markets, since 2014, Long Tan Lang Son Company Limited has invested in a modern technology line and equipment system for the production of colophan and pine essential oil with the goal of supplying the market with 9,000 tons of various products each year. Due to the fire incident in 2022 causing damage to machinery, at the end of December 2022, the company invested in purchasing a new production line with a total cost of about 13 billion VND. In addition, to promote production efficiency, improve quality, and ensure labor safety, every year, the company organizes training, technical guidance, and how to use machinery... for workers and employees in the enterprise.

With a modern machinery system, in 2023 the company purchased over 10,000 tons of rosin from people. From the beginning of 2024 to now, the company has purchased over 7,000 tons of rosin to produce rosin and turpentine. The company's output of rosin and turpentine supplied to the market is about 8,000 tons/year. From the beginning of 2024 to now, the company has produced and exported over 5,000 tons of rosin and turpentine to the market.

The company's current product consumption market is mainly exported to countries such as China, Japan, etc. Thanks to effective operations, the company's revenue reached 452 billion VND in 2023. In addition, the company currently creates jobs for 50 local workers with an income of over 5 million VND/person/month.

In the coming time, the department will continue to pay attention to and guide enterprises to access preferential policies of the State and the province on loans as well as support enterprises in promoting consumption, connecting and finding export markets.
