Colonel Nguyen Nhu Hai presented the decision to support the house of gratitude.
Mr. Lo Van Dom's family (Thai ethnic group) is in a particularly difficult situation with housing in Na Ten village, Muong Luan commune, Dien Bien Dong . Mr. Lo Van Dom himself is a 4/4 disabled veteran.
At the request of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Dong district, the Logistics Department conducted a survey and organized the construction of a house of gratitude for Mr. Dom. After more than 2 months of construction, the house with an area of 60m2 with wooden walls and corrugated iron roof was completed, ensuring the quality and progress as set out.
The Logistics Department supported the construction cost with 80 million VND from the "Repaying gratitude" fund of the Army Corps. The remaining amount was supported by family, relatives, Party committees, authorities and local people.
Delegates gave gifts to Mr. Dom's family.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Hai emphasized: Supporting the construction of a house of gratitude for Mr. Lo Van Dom's family is a meaningful and practical act, demonstrating the tradition of remembering the source of water when drinking water, and showing gratitude to policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions of Navy officers and soldiers. This is also a source of encouragement and motivation to help Mr. Lo Van Dom's family improve their housing, overcome difficulties, and improve their lives.
At the ceremony, the Logistics Department and local authorities; local departments and organizations presented many meaningful gifts to Mr. Lo Van Dom's family.
