The Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 5 proactively helps people overcome the consequences of floods.

During two days (October 30 and 31), in the face of prolonged heavy rains causing serious flooding in Da Nang City and some neighboring areas, the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 5 directed agencies and units to deploy many practical activities to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.

Accordingly, the functional agencies of the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 5 have closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to organize cooking, distributing meals, drinking water, medicine, and support the movement of assets and people out of deep flooded areas, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

In Nong Son commune, Da Nang city, officers and soldiers of K55 Technical Warehouse continued to support Hoang Dieu Primary School in cleaning mud, washing tables and chairs, cleaning classrooms, and clearing water, helping the school to soon restore teaching and learning conditions after the flood. On the same day, the unit also organized a working group to Ninh Khanh village, Que Phuoc commune to give 60 gifts (instant noodles, purified drinking water) to households affected by floods.

At Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, the Women's Union and the Youth Union of the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 5 organized the program "Meal of love - sharing with people in flood-affected areas", giving 200 meals to patients and relatives who are isolated due to flood waters.

These timely and meaningful activities clearly demonstrated the spirit of "Serving the people", the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the core role of the logistics and technical force of Military Region 5 in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
