Da Nang auctions land for Son Tra night market

(NLDO) - The land plot on the road leading to Dragon Bridge was auctioned by Da Nang City for a 3-year lease as a night market.

The Da Nang City Land Fund Development Center has just announced the auction of land plots A2.4 and A2.5, the road leading to Dragon Bridge (An Hai Nam ward, Son Tra district) to organize Son Tra night market.

Total land area is over 3,800 ^m2 with starting rental price of 260,000 VND/ ^m2 /year. Rental period is within 3 years.

Da Nang City requires investors to have sufficient financial capacity and experience in managing night markets, and commit to arranging locations for 190 small traders currently operating at Son Tra night market. The small traders have signed contracts with Da Nang DHTC Joint Stock Company.

Son Tra Night Market is currently operating on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets, about 200 meters from land plots A2.4 and A2.5.

Investors must deposit 10% of the land rental value in advance and develop the night market according to the approved plan. The time to receive land rental registration documents is from March 18 to April 16.

In July 2024, the People's Committee of Son Tra District issued a plan to operate the Son Tra night market. The market is proposed to be located on the two above-mentioned plots of land. This area is close to the existing Son Tra night market.

The market has an expected scale of 250 stalls with a total area of ​​1,500 ^m2 , accounting for 39.35% of the land area. The remaining area is used for walkways, goods gathering areas, and auxiliary areas.

The business lines at Son Tra night market include food, handicrafts, souvenirs, local products, fashion , shoes, handbags, foot massage products... The night market is open from 5:30 pm to midnight every day.

Son Tra Night Market is currently located on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets, operating since September 2018.

In March 2024, the People's Committee of Son Tra District announced the termination of Son Tra night market operations from July 1, 2024 due to the end of the pilot period. To date, the market is still operating after many extensions.
