A representative from Vietnam Airlines stated that, in the initial phase, from March 26th to June 30th, the Narita - Da Nang route will operate with a frequency of 4 flights per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

In the next phase, starting July 1st, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate daily flights with a frequency of 7 flights per week to encourage tourism and trade exchanges between Japan and localities in central Vietnam.
Japanese tourist Konuma Mizuki shared that this was her second time visiting Da Nang. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, she had traveled to Da Nang but hadn't yet explored all the scenic spots and entertainment venues. So, as soon as Da Nang resumed flights from Japan, she decided to spend four days returning to the city.
This time, she said she would visit Ba Na Hills, Hoi An, go swimming at the beach, see the Marble Mountains... and hopes to discover even more of Central Vietnam.
Welcome performance for the flight from Narita.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Tourism, the city has identified Japan as a key market for Da Nang tourism with stable growth. The resumption of regular flights from Narita, the first location in Japan to operate flights to Da Nang, is expected to contribute positively to attracting Japanese tourists back to Da Nang and vice versa in the future.
In 2019, the total number of Japanese tourists visiting Da Nang reached over 183,000, a growth of nearly 200% compared to 2015. Since Vietnam opened up to international tourism (March 2022), Da Nang has welcomed approximately 27,000 Japanese tourists.
