Da Nang and Quang Ngai simultaneously started and inaugurated key projects

On August 19, along with many localities across the country, Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province simultaneously started construction and inaugurated key infrastructure projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Notable among them are the Da Nang Downtown complex project and a series of projects in Da Nang, and the inauguration ceremony of Phuoc Loc Bridge - the first modern steel arch bridge in Quang Ngai.

* In Hoa Cuong ward, Sun Group Corporation and Da Nang City People's Committee held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project of a complex of cultural, entertainment, commercial and high-end services (Da Nang Downtown).

Accordingly, the Da Nang Downtown complex has a scale of 76.92 hectares with a total investment of about 79,790 billion VND, including a cultural and entertainment park, a theater, a riverside commercial area, a green park by the Han River and the tallest 69-storey symbolic tower in the Central region.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, said that Da Nang is on a journey to strongly develop itself to affirm its position as a leading tourism , trade, service and entertainment center in the region. In the picture of Da Nang tourism development, the Da Nang Downtown project has a special significance, converging all the elements of a "miniature city" along the Han River.

* In Dien Ban Bac ward, Da Nang City People's Committee organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Area serving the North-South Railway Project.

This is also a component project of the Sub-project of compensation, support and resettlement serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis from Thu Bon River to the North to the boundary of Da Nang City.

The project has an investment scale of 4.69 hectares with modern planning, synchronous investment in ground leveling, traffic items... with a total investment of 76.1 billion VND, from the budget. The project implementation progress is from 2025 to 2027.

Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, requested the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang to promote a high sense of responsibility, organize and operate scientifically, closely, closely follow the progress, and resolutely ensure quality. Departments, branches, and localities coordinate synchronously, promptly resolve problems, and create the most favorable conditions for the project. People in the project area continue to share and agree so that the project will soon be successful, bringing long-term benefits to the community.

* In the mountainous commune of Tay Giang, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang coordinated with relevant units to launch the Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding and Semi-Boarding School project.

The project has a total estimated cost of 262 billion VND with a planned area of 4.1 hectares. The expected completion date is August 2026 to serve the new school year 2026-2027.

The project has 4 categories including classrooms and subjects, administration and management, living services and technical infrastructure. The project is expected to serve nearly 1,000 students, equivalent to 30 classes and 14 subject rooms, with student dormitories, public housing, multi-purpose buildings, etc.

* In Nui Thanh commune, the Central Power Corporation organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Truong Hai 110kV transformer station and connection project. The project has a scale of building a new 110kV transformer station with a capacity of 2 x 63MVA and a 110kV line with two circuits with a length of about 30m connecting to the existing 110kV Doc Soi-Tam Anh line and 5 22kV transmission lines with a length of more than 5km with a total investment of more than 101 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

The project aims to meet the rapidly increasing load demand in Nui Thanh commune, especially from large customers serving industrial production in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park. At the same time, it supports and reserves capacity to exchange with 110kV transformer stations in the area.

* In Hoa Khanh ward, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board to organize the Technical Traffic Opening Ceremony of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Construction Project under the North-South Expressway Construction Project, Eastern phase 2021-2025.

The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway construction project belongs to the North-South expressway construction project in the East phase 2021-2025.

The project has a total length of about 11.5 km, passing through Lien Chieu ward, Hoa Khanh ward, Ba Na commune, Da Nang city. The starting point is at Km66+000, adjacent to Hoa Lien intersection (coinciding with the end point of Ho Chi Minh road, La Son - Hoa Lien section), in Lien Chieu ward; the end point is at Km77+472 adjacent to Tuy Loan intersection (the starting point of Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway project), in Ba Na commune. The project has a total investment of about 2,113 billion VND.

According to Mr. Le Quang Nam, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, when put into operation, the expressway will connect La Son - Hoa Lien, Hai Van tunnel, National Highway 1, Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, National Highway 14B; reduce traffic pressure, ensure transportation safety, and at the same time create momentum for socio-economic development, national defense and security in the region.

* In Quang Ngai , the Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of Phuoc Loc Bridge - the first steel arch bridge in Quang Ngai.

The bridge is 0.71km long, including 3 steel pipe arch spans and 12 approach spans, with a total investment of more than 850 billion VND, connecting National Highway 24B with Provincial Road 623B, and connecting the North-South Expressway and National Highway 1.

Phuoc Loc Bridge is the 7th bridge across Tra Khuc River.

The project contributes to completing the transport network, promoting the socio-economic development of the region. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang affirmed that transport infrastructure is the key foundation for Quang Ngai's development, and emphasized that the locality is preparing to implement other major projects such as the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road, Tra Khuc 1 bridge, Quang Ngai - Kon Tum expressway and the high-speed railway section through the province.
