Da Nang: Freight transport market is recovering strongly

The city's road freight revenue in April 2025 is estimated at more than VND 800 billion, up 3.7% over the previous month and up 4% over the same period last year.

During the month, some road freight transport enterprises had quite high revenue growth compared to the same period in 2024 (Central Container Joint Stock Company increased by more than 85%, Tan Minh Toan Transport Business Company Limited increased by nearly 40%, Binh Vinh II Joint Stock Company increased by nearly 50%...).

The recovery of the freight transport market in the area is proof of the reactivation of the supply chain and production and trade activities in Da Nang .

The outstanding growth of these large companies not only contributes to the overall indexes but also creates a spillover effect, promoting the development of other small and medium-sized transport enterprises in the supply chain. In the first 4 months of 2025, freight transport revenue is estimated to reach nearly 3,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 6% over the same period in 2024.

In April 2025, the volume of goods transported by road was estimated at 4.3 million tons, up 2.5% over the previous month and nearly 3% over the same period last year. The volume of goods transported by road was estimated at 462.6 million tons/km, up 2.4% over the previous month and up 2.2% over the same period last year.

In the first 4 months of 2025, Da Nang City's freight transport is estimated at 15.8 million tons, an increase of nearly 5% over the same period last year; the volume of goods transported is estimated at more than 1,700 million tons/km, an increase of 5.5% over the same period last year.

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, the strong recovery of the freight transport market in the area is a testament to the reactivation of the supply chain and production and trade activities in the city. This recovery is not only reflected in the growth of large companies but also creates a spillover effect, promoting the development of small and medium-sized transport enterprises.

The driving force of industrial development, FDI attraction, upgrading transport infrastructure and applying logistics technology are creating a dynamic and efficient transport ecosystem. This is a positive signal showing that Da Nang’s economy is on the path of recovery and sustainable development, while consolidating the city’s position as an important logistics center of the Central region.
