Da Nang: Beauty salon that let cleaners do facelift for customers was fined 320 million VND

On October 2, the People's Committee of Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City announced that the Chairman of the People's Committee of the district has issued a decision to administratively fine Kangzin Company Limited (headquartered in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City - Kangzin cosmetic business location on Hung Vuong Street, Thanh Khe District) for 5 violations with a total fine of 320 million VND.

Specifically, act 1 is not collecting and storing hazardous waste according to regulations, fined 30,000,000 VND. Act 2 is trading in goods of unknown origin, fined 100,000,000 VND. Act 3 is providing cosmetic services without a document meeting the required conditions, fined 90,000,000 VND. Act 4, using drugs, equipment, substances to intervene in the human body to change skin color, shape, ... spraying, tattooing using anesthetics at a facility that is not a hospital with a cosmetic department or a cosmetic clinic or other medical examination and treatment facility with a scope of professional activities in cosmetic specialties, fined 50,000,000 VND. Act 5, using a person who does not have a practice certificate or is in the period of having his/her certificate revoked or being suspended from practice, shall be fined 50,000,000 VND.

Additional penalties include: suspension of Kangzin Beauty Salon on Hung Vuong Street for 18 months for act 3 and 4 months and 15 days for act 4. At the same time, the medical examination and treatment license will be revoked for 3 months and the right to use the medical examination and treatment practice certificate of Mr. Ngo Duc Tung - Director and person in charge of professional expertise at the above facility will be revoked for 2 months.

Previously, in August, Thanh Khe District Police discovered that at Kangzin Beauty Institute (368 Hung Vuong Street), a female janitor was performing facelift surgery on a customer, while this person could not present a practice certificate.

At the time of inspection, Kangzin cosmetic facility could not present legal documents to ensure sufficient conditions for operation.
