HAGL's special "newcomer"
Immediately after the end of the 2024-2025 season, HAGL quickly introduced new personnel, most notably goalkeeping coach Higor Felliny Cruz, who possesses an impressive resume and qualifications.
Unlike other cases, this is a special transfer deal for HAGL, as their goal is to serve much longer-term plans than a goalkeeping coach focusing only on a few goalkeepers in the first team.
At 45 years old, Coach Higor possesses 7 years of playing experience at youth and professional levels, 22 years of experience coaching goalkeepers, and holds a Class A coaching license issued by the Brazilian Football Confederation and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

In addition, this 1.90m tall man possesses a very solid and well-structured knowledge base, with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a master's degree in Sports Management.
During his 22-year coaching career, the Brazilian expert has worked at all levels, from U.15, U.17, U.20 (having previously had a contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation) to professional leagues in Brazil and Indonesia.
It's clear that HAGL has selected a coach who meets many criteria, including qualifications, experience, foundational knowledge, and strong management skills. This promises to improve the quality of training for the young goalkeepers at the club.

What's special about HAGL choosing coach Higor is not only to improve the skills of their promising young goalkeepers, notably national team player Tran Trung Kien, or other young talents including Vietnamese-born goalkeeper Chaloongphum Phong (born in 2009, 1.87 m tall).
Unlike the Thai goalkeeping coach who previously worked with Kiatisak at HAGL, Higor will have a greater responsibility in helping HAGL's goalkeeping coaches improve their skills.
A HAGL member shared: "If we only send goalkeepers to attend courses for a few weeks, what they learn will be limited because the learning time is short, mainly focusing on theory in a classroom with many students."

Conversely, by hiring someone with the professional background and knowledge like Higor, HAGL's young goalkeepers and goalkeeping coaches at Ham Rong will have a whole year to learn and gain experience to improve their skills."
It can be said that with the signing of goalkeeping coach Higor, HAGL is taking a very different approach compared to other V-League clubs when hiring foreign assistants, including goalkeeping coaches, primarily focusing on purely professional aspects.
From its perspective, HAGL demonstrates its commitment to absorbing expertise from foreign specialists to enrich the skills of its domestic coaches, enabling them to work more effectively in an environment that prioritizes the use of young talents trained by the club itself.
