In addition, the BK-IAV team of Hanoi University of Science and Technology won the second prize; the LH-TDH team of Lac Hong University (Ho Chi Minh City) won the third prize. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded many other prizes to the participating teams.
The 2025 UAV Innovation Competition - PV GAS Cup is not just a tournament; it has become a forum connecting education , businesses, and innovation, opening up opportunities for career development and research for young talents to promote innovation, enhance research, design, and application capabilities of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles).
With the theme "Homeland's Skies" reflected throughout the competition and the program's spirit, the contest ignited national pride, a sense of responsibility to the country, and the aspiration to master the skies with Vietnamese technology. Each performance was not only a display of technical skill but also a testament to rigorous and persistent training, along with strong teamwork.
In his closing speech, Dr. Dinh Tan Hung, Director of the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), representing the Organizing Committee, congratulated the teams for overcoming the interesting challenges.
Dr. Hung shared that after the announcement on September 9th, the competition spread and attracted over 100 enthusiastic teams from all over the country. The scenarios were designed to suit the capabilities of students in designing and manufacturing intelligent UAVs, combined with skillful control, overcoming simulated obstacles, and performing tasks such as providing energy in future urban areas. With online support from the technical guidance team, the teams successfully overcame the challenges of the preliminary rounds.

“The PVGAS 2025 UAV Innovation Cup, the first of its kind in Vietnam, features a scenario designed to suit the capabilities of students in designing and manufacturing intelligent UAVs, combined with skillful control and obstacle-crossing, simulating missions such as supplying energy to future cities as well as other emergency tasks.”
"The competition is not just a tournament; it has truly become a forum connecting education, businesses, and innovation, opening up opportunities for career development and research for young talents. The competition is a place to nurture passion and help the aspirations of the young generation of Vietnamese engineers soar," affirmed Dr. Dinh Tan Hung.
Following the positive initial results of the first ever PVGAS UAV Cup 2025 competition in Vietnam, the organizers announced that two more competitions will be held in 2026: one UAV innovation competition with a more challenging and innovative scenario, and another UUV innovation competition focusing on creating intelligent submersible vehicles with a unique and exciting scenario. These competitions are expected to take place in July-August 2026.
