Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh said that the victory on April 30, 1975 is a symbol of passionate patriotism, the strength of national unity, the resilient and heroic fighting spirit of the army and people of the whole country, and the strong aspiration of the Vietnamese people for independence, freedom, peace and happiness.

This is also a typical victory of the world revolutionary forces, contributing to strongly promoting the struggle of the world's people for the goals of independence, peace, democracy and social progress.

According to Ms. Khamphao Ernthavanh, the April 30 victory was a world-shaking victory and a historic turning point not only for the Vietnamese people but also of great significance for the Lao and Cambodian revolutions as well as the world revolution, contributing to promoting the struggle of the world's people for the goals of national independence, peace, democracy and social progress, encouraging the spirit of the peoples who are carrying out the struggle for liberation, against imperialism, and defeating neo-colonialism in Indochina as well as in the world.

With a special spirit of solidarity and special affection, the Lao Party, State and people have fully supported and created all favorable conditions for Vietnam to open the " Ho Chi Minh Trail" through Lao territory to "cut through Truong Son to save the country", completely liberate South Vietnam and unify the country.

That noble and immense sacrifice became an unparalleled strength, a great source of motivation, contributing to bringing the revolutions of Vietnam and Laos to great victory in 1975, ending decades of war, creating a miracle of victory over colonialists and imperialists.

"The victory that the Vietnamese army and people have achieved is a great source of encouragement for the Lao people in their efforts to protect and develop the country. The Lao Party, State and people consider this achievement and victory as their own," the Ambassador said.

Sharing about the Lao People's Army's participation in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Ms. Khamphao Ernthavanh said that this participation demonstrates the traditional friendship spirit, the special solidarity between the people and armies of Laos and Vietnam, and at the same time affirms the most friendly relationship between the armies of the two countries.

The event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of Vietnam will also help the younger generation and international friends to recognize the arduous past in the struggle for national liberation; recognize Vietnam's increasingly strong development and recognize the sincere Laos-Vietnam relationship, always helping each other to develop, the Ambassador expressed.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi warmly congratulated Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, emphasizing that this is a historical milestone marking Vietnam's completion of the cause of national reunification and independence, moving forward on the path of independent development and prosperity.

China greatly admires the spirit of solidarity and indomitable will of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in the process of fighting against invaders.

On this occasion, at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Chinese People's Liberation Army attended the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification held in Ho Chi Minh City. Demonstrating the warm friendship and mutual trust between the two countries and the two armies.

According to Ambassador Ha Vi, Vietnam and China have stood side by side and written friendship together throughout Vietnam's struggle for national independence and reunification.

Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird

Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Gillian Bird, said that the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is also an opportunity to look back at Vietnam's remarkable development over the past 50 years. Vietnam's transformation over the past half century - becoming one of the fastest growing economies in the region and a major manufacturing and investment hub - is truly remarkable," the Ambassador shared.

According to Ms. Gillian Bird, the achievements are a testament to the value of peace as well as the will and persistent efforts of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in the journey to pursue the goal of development and prosperity for the country.

The Ambassador said that since establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1973, Australia has always been proud of the partnership between the two countries.

The development of the Australia-Vietnam relationship over the past 50 years has been truly remarkable. The relationship with Vietnam is important to Australia and both countries are committed to further deepening the bilateral relationship through the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Australia has always been a steadfast and trusted friend of Vietnam, Ms. Gillian Bird emphasized.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade shared: "I saw many people walking and taking pictures on the street, especially at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Many children wore shirts with the Vietnamese flag printed on them. At that moment, I also wanted to go out to share the feeling of pride and joy with everyone."

"The Vietnamese people's patriotism is very high and it's wonderful to see flags hanging from all the windows. Many women even wear hats with the Vietnamese flag. The atmosphere is really warm," said Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade.

Mr. Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade also expressed his pride that, in difficult times, Azerbaijan has always been by Vietnam's side, supporting Vietnam. There are many Vietnamese citizens living in Azerbaijan. Right after the day Vietnam was reunified, these citizens returned to contribute to the country's development.

Notably, a few years after unification, the Soviet Union sent its first large delegation to Vietnam to review many development projects. The head of this delegation was the national leader of Azerbaijan, Mr. Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade emphasized that Vietnam is currently one of the fastest growing countries in the world, with a solid and promising economy. He assessed this as a great achievement, demonstrating the continuous efforts of the Party and State.

"We hope that Vietnam will soon become one of the world's leading strong economies. We wish Vietnam further development, prosperity and more achievements in the future," said the Ambassador.

In a message shared with the press ahead of Vietnam's 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Vietnam Kanat Tumysh expressed his deep personal pride in being born in the year of Vietnam's reunification, and sent his warmest congratulations and admiration for the Vietnamese people.

Ambassador Kanat Tumysh expressed his joy at Vietnam's strong development steps, believing that current reform efforts will achieve good results, entering a new era of development, with double-digit growth, and entering the top countries with the most developed economies in the world.
