General Luong Cuong visits and works with Thanh Hoa Military units

Participating in the working delegation were leaders of the General Department of Politics (GDP); leaders and commanders of Military Region 4 Command; and Border Guard Command (BĐBP).

At the working session, Lieutenant Colonel Le Huy Hoa, Chief of Pu Nhi Border Guard Station, Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command, on behalf of military units stationed in the area, summarized the implementation of tasks in 2022 and the first months of 2023.

Accordingly, in recent times, units have thoroughly implemented directives and orders on national defense and security tasks; local socio-economic development plans and programs, associated with natural disaster prevention, search and rescue... contributing to firmly protecting territorial sovereignty , national border security, and social order and safety in border areas.

Speaking at the meeting, General Luong Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the performance of the units in 2022 and the first months of 2023, despite being stationed in border areas, with difficult roads, harsh weather, and many difficulties and shortages in people's lives... However, officers and soldiers of the units have promoted a good sense of responsibility, solidarity, and strived to overcome all difficulties and successfully completed the assigned tasks.

Notably, the units have thoroughly implemented the directives and orders on national defense and security tasks; successfully completed the political tasks assigned by the Military Region 4 Command and the Border Guard Command. National sovereignty and security have been maintained, and military and defense tasks have been successfully completed. Party building is associated with building a strong and comprehensive unit; successfully completing the functions of the combat army, the working army, the production labor army, etc.

The units have grasped the local situation, promptly advised superiors and local Party committees and authorities to organize and implement military, defense and foreign affairs tasks well; effectively resolved incidents occurring on the border, ensuring compliance with policies, measures and legal requirements, avoiding being passive and surprised in any situation; strictly maintained combat readiness, maintained security, social order and safety; regularly advised local Party committees and authorities to build solid defense zones, safe and secure areas, associated with socio-economic development; periodically and suddenly organized police, military and border guards to exchange information, promptly detect and handle incidents; units regularly patrolled to protect the safety of border lines and landmarks; managed and controlled immigration in accordance with principles, creating favorable conditions for border traffic, promoting international integration. Synchronously deploy professional measures to effectively combat all types of crimes. At the same time, step up propaganda and mobilize people to comply with and implement the Party's policies and the State's laws.

The work of building party organizations, command organizations, mass organizations and military councils is regularly thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented, closely following the practical situation of the unit and locality; ensuring good logistics and technical work for regular and unexpected tasks, contributing to building a clean and strong party organization, a strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary and typical". The unit is internally united and unified, officers and soldiers have strong political will, high determination, ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics, General Luong Cuong acknowledged, commended and congratulated the results and achievements of the units in the past time.

To successfully complete military, defense, and border tasks in 2023 and the following years, the Chief of the General Department of Politics directed and requested commanders, officers, and soldiers of units to focus on implementing a number of contents well.

The focus is to continue to thoroughly grasp the unit's political tasks; grasp the situation early and from afar, promptly handle and advise on effective solutions to situations that arise, avoid being passive and surprised; strictly maintain combat readiness, firmly protect territorial sovereignty and border security, tightly control border gates, effectively fight all types of crimes; do a good job of foreign affairs, build a friendly, integrated and developed border.

General Luong Cuong requested that units must focus on leadership and do a good job of ideological work and political education so that all officers and soldiers can perceive and thoroughly grasp the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, especially the task of building defense zones, protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation. In particular, in all areas, the results of completing the tasks in 2023 must be higher than in 2022, according to the request of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The Director of the General Political Department requested: This thought and wish of the General Secretary must be conveyed from the Central Military Commission to officers and soldiers in the entire army .

Units must maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, responsibility, and exemplary leadership and commanders at all levels; build good solidarity relationships with Party committees, authorities, sectors, organizations, and forces stationed in the area; contribute to building an increasingly solid People's Border Defense posture in an increasingly solid People's National Defense posture associated with a People's Security posture.

General Luong Cuong emphasized and requested that Party committees and commanders of units must regularly pay attention to and take care of building exemplary clean and strong Party organizations, "exemplary and exemplary" comprehensively strong units, and building a contingent of cadres and Party members who are truly pioneers and role models...

During the visit, General Luong Cuong presented gifts from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to the units; the Military Region 4 Command and the Border Guard Command, along with Thanh Hoa province leaders, also presented gifts to representatives of the units.
