According to the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, the list of power source and grid projects allocated to increase according to the adjusted Power Plan VIII, in the province after the merger, in the period of 2025-2030, 90 renewable energy projects are planned; total capacity is 7,780.5 MW.
Of which, hydropower includes 12 projects with a total capacity of 351.5 MW; the west has 6 projects with a capacity of 267.5 MW, the east has 6 projects with a capacity of 84 MW.
Concentrated solar power includes 27 projects, with a total capacity of 4,314 MW. Of which, the west has 18 projects, with a capacity of 3,329 MW, 1 solar power project with a capacity of 30 MW; and the east has 8 projects, with a capacity of 955 MW.
Notably, in the period 2025 - 2030, Dak Lak province has 42 wind power projects, with a total capacity of 2,796 MW.
Specifically, in the west, there are 4 projects according to KL1027 with a capacity of 200 MW, 6 projects with investment policies with a capacity of 85 MW, 12 projects with a capacity of 1,085 MW, 8 projects are preparing pre-feasibility study reports with a capacity of 662 MW. In the east, there are 10 projects with a capacity of 632 MW and 2 projects are preparing pre-feasibility study reports with a capacity of 132 MW.
In addition, there are 3 projects of domestic waste treatment and power generation with a total capacity of 34 MW. Biomass power includes 6 projects with a total capacity of 285 MW.

In the 2031-2035 period, Dak Lak province is planning 33 renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 6,183 MW.
Of which, hydropower includes 4 projects with a capacity of 64 MW; concentrated solar power includes 14 projects with a total capacity of 4,957 MW; wind power includes 15 projects with a total capacity of 1,162 MW.
Regarding the implementation of projects that have been approved for investment, Dak Lak province said that there is one Ea Tih hydropower project with a capacity of 8.6 MW that has been approved for investment and is currently completing the steps to prepare for project investment.
Solar power, there is a floating solar power plant project (KN Serepok 3) with a capacity of 380 MWp, currently the investor is proposing to adjust the investment policy, deploy the basic design, and agree on the route of the 500 kV connecting line and transformer station.
Regarding wind power projects, Dak Lak province (old) has approved the investment policy for 6 projects with a total capacity of 85 MW3 and Phu Yen province (old) has approved the investment policy for 2 projects with a total capacity of 249.9 MW4.
These wind power projects are currently completing investment procedures according to regulations to proceed with construction.
