Dak Lak saves over 7,500 kWh of electricity during Earth Hour 2025

After 1 hour of turning off the lights in response to the Earth Hour 2025 campaign (from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 22, 2025), according to statistics on electricity consumption of Dak Lak Electricity Company, the whole Dak Lak province saved 7,560 kWh of electricity, an increase of 6.0% compared to 2024.

Previously, in response to the Earth Hour campaign, on the evening of March 22, on many main roads, streets and public places throughout the province, lighting systems, high-pressure lamps, unnecessary electrical equipment, etc. were turned off. Shopping centers, supermarkets, infrastructure investors of industrial parks, industrial clusters, businesses in the province, etc. also turned off all unnecessary electrical equipment and advertising signs, and lighting systems outside the campus during the Earth Hour event in 2025.

In addition, Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union has directed its grassroots youth union organizations to step up propaganda work on social networking platforms to call on union members, youth and people to carry out activities in response to the campaign.

It is known that 2025 is the 17th year that Vietnam participates in the Earth Hour Campaign to raise public awareness of climate change and save electricity, protect the climate as well as the Earth's environmental ecosystem.

With the message "Green transition - Green future", the Earth Hour 2025 event aims to send the community the message of energy saving through specific activities, not only turning off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment during Earth Hour every year but also implementing them continuously in economic activities and life, increasing the use of renewable energy sources, using products and equipment with high energy efficiency, improving energy efficiency in both economic and environmental aspects, creating a chain of green transition activities; contributing to responding to climate change, towards a greener future...
