Digging the ground to build a house, discovered a 227kg bomb

The Military Command of Cam Xuyen District (Ha Tinh) said that the unit had just coordinated with the Engineering Department (Military Command of Ha Tinh Province) to transport a bomb discovered in a resident's garden for destruction.

Previously, at around 7am on May 25, while digging the foundation to build a house, Mr. Le Khac L.'s family (residing in Hung Loc village, Cam Hung commune, Cam Xuyen district) discovered a bomb at a depth of 3m and reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, Cam Xuyen District Military Command sent a working group to protect the scene.

At the same time, the Engineering Department of the Provincial Military Command inspected and determined that this was a penetration bomb with the symbol: MK82 (diameter 274mm, length 1.54m, weight 227kg).

When qualified, relevant units organized forces to collect and transport the bomb to a safe place to destroy it according to regulations.
