Ha Tinh: Successfully controlled dengue fever outbreak

On the morning of November 6, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control (CDC Ha Tinh), said that after nearly a month of synchronous implementation of disease prevention and control measures, CDC Ha Tinh officially announced the end of the Dengue fever outbreak in Phuong Giai village, Ky Xuan commune.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, previously, in Phuong Giai village, Ky Xuan commune, a dengue fever outbreak was recorded on October 9, with a total of 10 cases.

Immediately after the discovery, CDC Ha Tinh quickly coordinated with Ky Anh Medical Center (Ha Tinh province) and local authorities to isolate and thoroughly handle the source of infection.

The environmental sanitation campaign was urgently carried out, spraying chemicals to kill mosquitoes and larvae in more than 200 households around the area with cases. Direct propaganda was increased in households, through loudspeakers and village activities, to raise people's awareness of disease prevention and control.
