This year, the 10th grade entrance exam in Quang Tri province has about 8,360 candidates registered to take the exam. In the morning, candidates will take the Math exam (90 minutes) and English exam (60 minutes). In the afternoon, candidates will take the Literature exam, with a duration of 120 minutes. Candidates wishing to take the exam for specialized classes at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted will have to take an additional specialized exam according to their registered wishes, with a duration of 150 minutes on May 31.

From this year, according to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there are 3 methods of admission to grade 10 of high school: entrance exam, admission review or a combination of entrance exam and admission review. The selection of admission method is under the authority of the locality.
Regarding the entrance exam method for grade 10 high school, to ensure consistency and implement the policy of a light and inexpensive exam, the Ministry of Education and Training generally stipulates the implementation of 3 subjects and exams, including: Math, Literature and a third subject or exam selected by the Department of Education and Training.
The third exam subject is selected from among the subjects assessed by scores in the secondary school generaleducation program, ensuring that the same third exam subject is not selected for more than 3 consecutive years.
For high schools under the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes that organize their own entrance exams, the third exam subject or a combination exam of a number of remaining subjects will be selected by the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes directly managed by them.
