Proposal to spend more than 5 trillion VND to invest in the road connecting Tu Lien bridge with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway

The Hanoi People's Committee has just submitted a document to the Hanoi People's Council requesting approval of the investment policy for the project to build a road connecting Tu Lien bridge (the intersection of the approach road to Tu Lien bridge with Truong Sa road) to the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway.

Accordingly, the route has a total length of about 5.66km, a cross-section width of 60m, running through the communes of Dong Hoi, Mai Lam, Duc Tu, Lien Ha (Dong Anh district). The starting point is at the intersection of Tu Lien bridge with Truong Sa road, the end point is at the intersection with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway.

The intersections on the route include: Intersection with the old National Highway 3; intersection with the planned LK53 road and the existing railway (Hanoi - Lao Cai ); intersection with the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway and Ring Road 3.

Construction items include roadway, median strip, sidewalk, lighting, traffic organization, trees, renovation and relocation of underground and above-ground technical infrastructure,... ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.

Tu Lien Bridge will be connected to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway.

The project is invested by the People's Committee of Dong Anh district, with a total estimated cost of VND 5,076 billion. Of which, 50% is the city budget, 50% is the Dong Anh district budget. The project will be implemented in the period of 2025-2027.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the project's goal is to concretize the Master Plan for Capital Construction to 2030 and Vision to 2050 and the Hanoi Capital Transport Plan to 2030, Vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.

In addition, the project aims to complete the transport infrastructure system in Dong Anh district, serving the travel needs of the people, increasing the land value on both sides of the road, creating conditions for effective exploitation of existing land funds.

At the same time, the project also connects Truong Sa road, Tu Lien bridge with Ring Road 3 and Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway, thereby connecting with the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital.

It is expected that the Proposal will be considered and approved by the Hanoi People's Council at the 22nd session, held at the end of April 2025.
