The creation of a digital map aims to assist candidates in looking up exam location information and providing directions to exam sites, preventing confusion during the high school graduation exam.
Nguyen Duc Minh Quan, a 12th-grade student from May High School, said that he will be taking the upcoming high school graduation exam at Linh Nam Secondary School (Hoang Mai District). Knowing about the digital map of exam locations, Quan found it very convenient because he only needs to click on the exam location name in the top left corner of the screen to see the location on the map with complete information: address, phone number for exam administration, number of candidates, exam room, and directions. Importantly, the map updates exam locations for both the 2006 and 2018 curricula , allowing students to find exam locations corresponding to their chosen curriculum.

This year's high school graduation exam took place on June 26-27, with over 124,000 candidates registered in Hanoi . The city established 233 examination centers and nearly 5,600 examination rooms; mobilizing 16,000 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in invigilation. High schools and vocational training centers in Hanoi completed the distribution of high school graduation exam notification slips to 12th-grade students. These slips contain important information such as: full name, date of birth, registration number, examination location, and information about the registered subjects/exams...
Therefore, as soon as candidates receive their exam notification slip, they need to carefully check all the printed information. If there are any discrepancies in the information on the exam notification slip, candidates should immediately contact their homeroom teacher. Candidates should note that if they have not yet received their 2025 high school graduation exam notification slip, they should immediately contact their homeroom teacher for assistance. This is one of the important documents that candidates are required to bring to the examination site, as it serves as the basis for invigilators to verify and cross-check candidate information.
Candidates must complete the registration procedures at 2 PM on June 25th. When registering, candidates should bring their examination notification slip.
This is the first year the exam is organized for two groups of candidates: those studying the 2018 General Education Program and those studying the 2006 General Education Program. Hanoi has 2,565 candidates registered to take the 2006 program exam at 4 testing locations: Ly Son Secondary School (Long Bien); Ha Dong Secondary School (Ha Dong); Chu Van An High School for the Gifted and Pham Hong Thai High School (Dan Phuong).
The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee issued a directive on strengthening guidance and coordination in organizing the exam. The city's exam steering committee issued a plan for organizing the exam, assigning specific tasks to its members; and established 15 inspection teams.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training is preparing plans for the arrangement of facilities for printing and copying exam papers, assigning codes to answer sheets, and grading exams to ensure compliance with exam regulations; and establishing inspection teams to check facilities at exam sites, grading locations, and exam paper printing and copying locations.
Regarding the advantages, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training noted that this was the first year organizing the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 general education program, which had many new features, so teachers and candidates were still unfamiliar with it. Hanoi has a large number of candidates, a large number of exam papers to print, and many different exam codes for each exam session and each type of program, therefore the printing and copying process was very difficult.
The process of grading multiple-choice tests also faced difficulties due to the large number of papers to be graded, and the grading was done using two different software programs. Therefore, it was necessary to equip more machines and mobilize additional staff and teachers to work continuously in order to ensure completion within the stipulated time.
Support for disadvantaged students
During an online meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh regarding the 2025 high school graduation exam, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, highlighted several difficulties faced by the province due to its large geographical area, challenging infrastructure at some examination sites, and the risk of floods and landslides if there is heavy rain. The province has developed contingency plans for these situations.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Quang Ninh province has nearly 20,000 candidates. Although district-level activities will end at the end of June, the district-level exam steering committee is still actively monitoring the situation, regularly mobilizing organizations and individuals to ensure conditions at exam sites and provide the best possible support for candidates.
Soc Trang province has over 11,000 candidates taking the exam. Local authorities have reviewed the situation and identified approximately 780 candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds. The province has decided to provide each of these students with 300,000 VND to help them participate in the exam.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is taking place in a special context as the entire country is focusing on reorganizing provincial-level administrative units, eliminating district-level units; just before June 30th, when the whole country will simultaneously announce the organizational structure and administrative units, putting into operation simultaneously at the provincial and commune levels from July 1st. Therefore, the exam is organized with three levels of local government, but the grading and announcement of results are done by two levels of local government.
Localities are preparing for the 2025 high school graduation exam, with nearly 1.17 million candidates registered, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to 2024.
The Prime Minister requested that leaders of provinces and centrally-administered cities take full responsibility for the preparation and organization of the exam in accordance with the "six clear principles," including: clear person, clear task, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, and clear results, with the spirit of prioritizing and creating the most favorable conditions for candidates, and paying attention to candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds.
