According to the decision, the scope of the study to plan Huong Pagoda has a total area of ​​about 8,200 hectares, which is the entire space and natural area of ​​Huong Son, An Tien, An Phu and Hung Tien communes in My Duc district, Hanoi.

My Duc District People's Committee will be the investor in planning.

In which, the planning scope has a total area of ​​nearly 5,000 hectares. Specifically, the area of ​​protected area 1 is more than 2,750 hectares; the area of ​​protected area 2 is nearly 1,200 hectares and the research area, expected to expand the surrounding area to promote value has an area of ​​nearly 1,000 hectares.

Regarding the planning boundary, the north borders the forestry and agricultural production areas of An Tien, Hung Tien, and An Phu communes; the south borders Hoa Binh and Ha Nam provinces; the east borders the residential area and agricultural land of Huong Son commune; the west borders the agricultural land and residential area of ​​An Phu commune.

According to the decision, the planning objective is to preserve and promote the value of historical relics and special national scenic spots such as Huong Pagoda, with special values ​​in culture, beliefs, architectural art, landscape and biodiversity.

Ben Duc belongs to Huong Son Complex

This will be the legal basis for establishing, appraising, approving and managing component projects on preservation, restoration, rehabilitation and promotion of relic values. At the same time, it is a scientific basis for managing, preserving and promoting the value of the special national relic of Huong Pagoda, associated with tourism development.

This approval decision is also the basis for planning, roadmap and overall solutions for management, investment in construction, restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of the relic. It creates a legal basis for implementing investment, upgrading, and completing infrastructure, landscape environment, and the special national relic complex of Huong Pagoda, promoting socio-economic development.

Every year, Huong Pagoda welcomes millions of visitors.

According to the decision, the planning period will not exceed 24 months from April 13, 2023. The planning will be approved by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the agency in charge of appraising and submitting the planning for approval. The planning management agency is the Hanoi People's Committee and the My Duc District People's Committee is the investor.
