Pursuant to Article 45 of the Regulations on High School Graduation Exams issued together with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT on recognition of high school graduation, it is stipulated that: "Candidates who are eligible to take the exam, are not subject to disciplinary action to cancel their exam results, all exam subjects achieve above 1 point on a 10-point scale and have a graduation score of 5 points or higher will be recognized as high school graduates".
Thus, the failing score for the 2025 high school graduation exam is 1 point or less. Therefore, to be recognized as graduating from high school in 2025, candidates need to achieve a minimum score of 1 in all subjects and have a total graduation score of 5 points or more.

Last year, the whole country had 491 failing scores, of which foreign languages had the highest number with 134. The number of failing scores in the remaining subjects was: Math had 62, Literature had 59, Physics had 49, Chemistry had 17, Biology had 49, History had 20, Geography had 77, andCivics had 24.
In 2025, the whole country will have a total of more than 1.16 million candidates taking the high school graduation exam, of which nearly 25,000 candidates will take the 2006 general education program and the remaining 1.13 million candidates will take the current program.
Candidates and parents are nervous because this year's exam questions have been renewed and many opinions say that math and English are "unusually difficult".
From 8am tomorrow morning (July 16), the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam will be officially announced. At 3pm this afternoon, the Ministry of Education and Training will hold a press conference to announce the score distribution.
