On the evening of July 22, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for full-time undergraduate enrollment in 2025 at its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and its branch in Quang Ngai province .
Minimum score for high school exam: 17-19 points
Minimum score for regular university level for all majors (not applicable to pharmacy and law majors) : general program 18 points ; English enhanced program 17 points .
For the law group (including the general program and the English-enhanced program), it is 18 points ; in which the minimum score for literature or math is 6 points for combinations with only one of these two subjects; the minimum score for literature and math is 6 points if the combination has both literature and math.
For the pharmaceutical industry, the minimum score according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training is 19 points.
The school notes that the floor score announced above is the total score of the 3 subjects in the admission combination (without multiplying the coefficient and without adding priority points). This is the score that candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the school, not the standard score for admission.
Thus, compared to 2024, the school's floor score this year decreased slightly by 1 point. In particular, the pharmaceutical industry decreased by 2 points according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The minimum score for the high school graduation exam for all training programs at the Quang Ngai branch is 16 points.

Rules for converting equivalent admission scores between methods
According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan - Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, the school built a correlation function to convert admission scores between admission methods.
This conversion rule is based on the results of analyzing the cumulative scores of students' learning outcomes, the admission score distribution of admission methods in the last 2 years (including high school graduation exam results, high school transcripts and Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam), and combined with data from the 2025 high school graduation exam.
"The conversion aims to ensure the similarity in input quality between methods, thereby serving as a basis for determining the corresponding admission scores for each admission method in 2025," Mr. Nhan shared.
The school has announced two equivalent point conversion functions, specifically:
Conversion function equivalent between admission score by considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025 to admission score by considering high school academic results in grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any).
In there:
- X is the admission score based on the 2025 high school graduation exam score;
- Y is the admission score based on the 12th grade high school academic results combined with outstanding achievements (if any).
Function to convert admission scores using the method of considering the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 on a 30-point scale.
In there:
- X is the admission score based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam (on a scale of 1,200);
- Y is the admission score by considering the results of the 2025 capacity assessment exam converted to a 30-point scale by Ho Chi Minh City National University.
