According to Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam (residing in Da Nang), he and his group of friends from Da Nang and Quang Nam chose to spend their holiday camping in the mountains and cooking for poor children in Tak Po instead of staying in the city.
Tak Po is not unfamiliar.
The group chose Tak Po peak in Tra Tap commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province, to set up their tents and spend the night resting and having fun.
To make the trip more meaningful, the members organized the cooking of dishes and invited the villagers and children in Tak Po hamlet to enjoy them together.
During the peak of the scorching heat in Central Vietnam, the temperature is milder in the high mountainous areas of Quang Nam province. Tak Po hamlet, located on the hillside of Ngoc Linh mountain, is home to 35 households, all local people who depend on the forest and mountains for their livelihood.
Tak Po is a name that has become familiar to many people since 2019. This village is associated with the image of the simple Tak Po school, rising like a silver mushroom suspended beneath rows of old betel nut trees.
There, despite the hardships and remoteness, there are young female teachers in their twenties who have dedicated their youthful years to teaching.

Destination for Volunteering
After the story of Tak Po was published on Tuoi Tre Online , philanthropists from all over the country came to this humble school to visit the teachers and students. The picturesque village rooftop rising amidst the clouds has captured the hearts of many.
In 2022, the Tắk Pổ school, a spacious and clean reinforced concrete building costing nearly 1.4 billion VND, was constructed with the contributions of generous volunteers.
The school stands as a symbol of community support and encouragement for the teaching efforts of young teachers in their twenties in the highlands.
Tak Po has since become a destination for volunteer tourism and a popular camping spot for taking photos.
