On July 10th, the District 1 Police in Ho Chi Minh City were still coordinating with the Ben Thanh Ward Police to investigate the aforementioned brawl and summoned those involved for questioning.

Previously, a video of a brawl in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City went viral on social media. According to the clip, a woman wielding a baseball bat was fighting with a man holding a short stick.

The fight took place in the middle of the street, with many people passing by. The man in the video tried to grab the baseball bat from the woman's hand but failed and fell onto the sidewalk. At this point, a young man nearby intervened to stop the fight.

Reportedly, immediately after the incident occurred, the District 1 Police, in coordination with the ward police, launched an investigation. The police determined that the incident depicted in the video took place on the evening of June 3rd on Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1. The man in the video is Mr. Phan Van L., and the woman is Phan Thanh T. They are uncle and niece and both run a sporting goods store on Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street.

Prior to the incident, Ms. T. had an argument with Mr. L.'s wife over the phone and then went to Mr. L.'s shop. After that, a fight broke out between the two, as circulated on social media.

To date, the police have summoned all parties involved for questioning, confiscated a baseball bat from Ms. T., a wooden stick approximately 40cm long from Mr. L., and extracted CCTV footage from the surrounding area. They have also requested a medical examination of Mr. L.'s injuries to provide a basis for handling the case according to the law.
