Participating in the incense offering ceremony were: Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City; Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Chemical Corporation; along with more than 200 delegates from agencies, units, and localities, as well as reporters from various media outlets.

The Gac Ma Martyrs Memorial is located in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province. Thirty-six years ago, 64 soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy fought bravely and heroically, sacrificing their lives in the battle to defend Gac Ma Island, part of the Truong Sa archipelago, which is under Vietnam's sovereignty . Their deaths formed an "immortal circle," forever etched in history, writing a tragic epic of unwavering determination, further enhancing the glorious tradition of nation-building and national defense of the Vietnamese people…

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the members of the delegation respectfully bowed before the spirits of the heroes and martyrs, expressing their profound respect and gratitude for the immense contributions of the naval officers and soldiers who fought and sacrificed in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The incense offering ceremony reflects the Vietnamese people's moral principles of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "repaying gratitude"; it educates about revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride, and the responsibility of young people in building and protecting their homeland.

The delegation presented gifts to Brigade 189.

* At Brigade 189 and Brigade 162, the delegation visited the barracks; unit leaders and commanders informed the delegation about the results of task implementation in 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. Both units successfully completed their assigned tasks, strictly maintained training and combat readiness, and mastered modern technical equipment. Officers and soldiers strictly adhered to the law and discipline. The two brigades also performed well in coordinating propaganda on maritime and island issues and effectively implemented the program "The Navy as a support for fishermen to venture out to sea and stay close to the sea"...
