Loan turnover in the first quarter of 2024 increased by nearly 110 billion VND compared to the same period in 2023

The report at the meeting stated: Implementing the Resolution of the Board of Directors, the representative boards at all levels always closely follow the goals to focus on directing the local branches of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) to successfully complete the assigned targets and plans.

As a result, the loan turnover in the first quarter of 2024 reached more than 410 billion VND, with 6,510 customers receiving loans, an increase of nearly 110 billion VND compared to the same period in 2023. The loan turnover mainly focused on the following programs: job creation 92 billion VND; poor households 93 billion VND; near-poor households 50 billion VND; newly escaped poverty households 24 billion VND; households producing and doing business in difficult areas 93 billion VND; Resolution No. 06/2019/NQ-HDND nearly 29 billion VND...

Debt collection turnover reached over 305 billion VND, an increase of 98.6 billion VND compared to the same period in 2023. Total outstanding debt as of March 31, 2024 reached 4,502 billion VND, an increase of 105 billion VND (+2.4%) compared to December 31, 2023. Of which, growth in outstanding debt from central sources reached 69.6 billion VND (+1.7%), growth in outstanding debt from local capital sources reached 35.5 billion VND (+10.9%).

In 2024, the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies received more than 38 billion VND from local budgets at the provincial and district levels, reaching 129% of the annual plan assigned by the Central Government; accumulated to March 31, 2024, it reached more than 364 billion VND. Total outstanding loans from local capital sources as of March 31, 2024 reached 360.6 billion VND, an increase of 35.5 billion VND compared to December 31, 2023, with 5,386 outstanding customers.

In the second quarter of 2024, strive to complete the disbursement of local budget capital to reach 100% of the assigned plan (the provincial budget has 23 billion VND left; the district budget has 2.9 billion VND left); mobilized capital deposits from organizations and individuals (excluding savings deposits of members of savings and loan groups) to complete at least 50% of the assigned plan; complete 90% or more of the assigned credit growth plan; the rate of principal debt collection on due date is 95% or more; the overdue debt ratio is below 0.06% of total outstanding debt.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank, highly appreciated the results of credit management and operation activities, contributing to increasing resources for the implementation of local socio -economic development tasks and national target programs.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the targets set for the second quarter of 2024 are very high, requiring members of the Board of Directors to closely coordinate in reviewing poor and near-poor households in the area, ensuring that 100% of eligible subjects are eligible to benefit from policy credit policies.

Focus on completing the contents to serve the Conference summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated November 22, 2024 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit activities. Localities arrange local budgets and entrust the Social Policy Bank to deploy lending according to Resolution No. 111/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement national target programs.

Proposing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and associations and unions to strengthen the role and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism of policy credit activities.
