Before being signed by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to take on the position of fitness coach of the Vietnam Olympic team, Mr. José Brandi Regato Neto had accompanied the Vietnam U17 team during the preparation and competition at the 2023 AFC U17 Championship Finals from May to July.
During his work, fitness expert José Brandi Regato Neto was highly appreciated by head coach Hoang Anh Tuan for his dedication and professionalism, ensuring a good physical foundation for the players when entering the race in the continental arena.
Mr. José Brandi Regato Neto is known as a professional fitness expert, certified as a fitness coach by the Brazilian Football Academy and a level 2 fitness coach by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Mr. José Brandi Regato Neto worked at Brazilian clubs Botafogo, Flumense, Vasco da Gama, then went to the UAE to work at Dibba Al-Hisn Sports Club.
Returning to the training session this afternoon (September 11) of the Vietnam Olympic team, because the Vietnam U23 team has not completed the competition in the 2024 U23 Asian Qualifiers, coach Hoang Anh Tuan still only has 12 players.

While waiting for the necessary number of players, he assigned fitness expert José Brandi Regato Neto to thoroughly strengthen the physical condition of the current group of players, while calculating solutions to restore the physical condition as quickly as possible for the group of players who will join the team after the end of the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers.
In addition, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his colleagues also trained the players in small coordination exercises and ball control.
Sharing before the training session, striker Vo Nguyen Hoang said: "In the past few days, coach Hoang Anh Tuan has given us short, small ball exercises and deployed to approach the goal as quickly as possible. We have not had any difficulty adapting because this is also the common playing style of U23 and the Vietnam team. The brothers in the team are also physically ready to enter the tournament."
Evaluating Vietnam's Olympic opponents at ASIAD 19, Vo Nguyen Hoang said: "I think the biggest opponent is still ourselves. People see Saudi Arabia or Iran as strong opponents, but the important thing is that if we overcome ourselves, everything will be easy."
According to the plan, the Vietnam Olympic team will continue to practice every day at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. On September 13, the team will be supplemented with players who have completed the 2024 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers.
On September 16, the team will leave for Hangzhou (China) to complete final preparations before entering the 19th ASIAD.
