Latest match schedule of Vietnam team in Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers
Two consecutive matches against Nepal will be important for the Vietnamese team in maintaining hopes of competing for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals.
To prepare well for these two matches, coach Kim Sang-sik called 23 players together and asked the whole team to practice well to aim for the most positive results.
Because most of the players have just competed in round 6 of V-League 2025/26, coach Kim Sang-sik only gave light training to help his players relax their muscles and relieve fatigue after the competition.
After the warm-up, the players were reinforced with basic tactical exercises, with special attention paid to helping the 8 young faces from the U23 team get used to the common playing style. The Korean head coach was pleased with the quick integration of the new players.
Speaking about the Nepal team, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam said: “Currently, I do not have much information about Nepal. However, in the coming days, the coaching staff will provide video and have tactical meetings. From there, the whole team will find a suitable approach and playing style.”
Responding to the question about the competition for a position in the goal, Van Lam affirmed: “In each training session, the coach calls up the best goalkeepers of Vietnamese football. We will support each other in training and competition.
It is up to the head coach to decide who starts or contributes in what way. The important thing is that everyone is working towards the common goal for the country's flag."
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will practice in Thu Dau Mot until October 8 before entering two matches with Nepal, the first leg at 7:30 p.m. on October 9 at Go Dau Stadium and the second leg at 7:30 p.m. on October 14 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
The organizers have announced plans to sell tickets for these two matches at two prices: 200,000 VND and 400,000 VND.
Tickets are released exclusively online on the OneU app (formerly VinID) in 2 batches, from September 29 to October 5 and from October 6 to October 7, or until tickets run out.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also opened direct ticket sales at Go Dau Stadium and Thong Nhat Stadium from October 7.
