Dao San Border Guard Station is tasked with protecting the border, managing 5 border markers and being in charge of 3 communes: Tung Qua Lin, Dao San, Mu Sang of Phong Tho district. In order to build and maintain a stable area in terms of political security, social order and safety, thereby creating favorable conditions for economic, cultural and social development, the Party Committee and Command of Dao San Border Guard Station have implemented many working measures. In particular, determining to participate in building and consolidating political bases, developing the economy and society of border communes is one of the key tasks. Taking mass mobilization work with the motto "3 sticking, 4 together" (sticking to the unit, sticking to the area, sticking to policies; eating, living, working and speaking the same language as the people) as the core to mobilize the maximum combined strength of the entire political system and the consensus of the people to join hands with the border guard force to firmly protect the borders and landmarks of the Fatherland.

Major Dinh Danh Can - Political Commissar of Dao San Border Guard Station said that in order to build a strong locality, Dao San Border Guard Station has promoted the role of commune-strengthened cadres holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, advising the local Party Committee and authorities on ensuring national defense - security and border work; building and consolidating the political base system, developing the local socio-economy with practical models such as: Growing strawberries, growing oranges... The unit has also assigned 7 party members to participate in party activities at 7 village party cells; assigned 30 comrades to be in charge of 120 households in the communes... Through the process of participating in activities, the Border Guard Party members have promoted their role well in guiding and helping the village party cells to implement the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws; advising on building and proposing policies and solutions in implementing the village and hamlet conventions and regulations; Mobilize people in building new rural areas, building cultural life in residential areas; promote the role of village elders and village chiefs, and effectively implement the policy of great national unity. Adhering closely to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the direction and guidance of superiors and the practical conditions in the area, the unit has proactively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities, relevant departments and branches, enlisted the help of prestigious people to each household to propagate and mobilize people to participate in protecting border security and sovereignty, maintaining security and order in villages and hamlets, and actively helping the Border Guard in the fight against crime. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and consolidating people's trust in the Party, the State and the Border Guard; strengthening solidarity among ethnic groups; raising vigilance against "Peaceful Evolution" plots of hostile forces, detecting and denouncing crimes and law violations; doing a good job in preventing natural disasters and epidemics; actively working in production and developing the socio-economy; Join the Border Guard Station to firmly protect national border security and sovereignty.

Regularly coordinate with local militia and people to patrol, control, clear the border, protect border markers; launch the movement "The masses participate in protecting the border and border markers", fight against and denounce crimes, actively participate in economic, cultural and social development in the area of responsibility. Maintain border marker self-management teams: 8 teams/72 households/16,756 km of border; 5 households self-manage 5 border markers, 28 village security and order self-management teams; regularly promote the effectiveness of border marker self-management teams and security and order self-management teams. Coordinate with the commune police force and commune militia to organize patrols, control, prevent and handle violations of the law, theft of citizens' property, maintain order and security in the border area. Since the beginning of the year, the unit has coordinated border patrols 171 times/1,562 participants.

Implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Lai Chau province on organizing for people in border areas to celebrate Tet and welcome Spring, Dao San Border Guard Station proactively coordinated with Tung Qua Lin and Mu Sang communes to organize the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" for people in 6 villages/3 communes to celebrate Tet, ensuring safety, savings, solidarity and excitement; visiting and giving gifts to families in difficult circumstances in the area, implementing well the program "Helping children go to school" to support 2 poor students overcoming difficulties with 500,000 VND/child/month.

Regularly mobilize resources from socio-political organizations, businesses, philanthropists... towards the border, with practical activities such as: Repairing schools, classrooms, supporting students in difficult circumstances in the area... Consulting and coordinating to effectively implement the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction; socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030; the movement "Border Guards join hands to build new rural areas"... Coordinate with schools to mobilize school-age children, mobilize students to return to school. Deploy hundreds of officers and soldiers to participate with 165 working days to prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods; help people eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, complete 12 houses for poor households in 03 communes according to Project 645 of Lai Chau province. Along with that, the Party Committee and the Command of the Station have also proactively directed officers and soldiers to grasp the internal and external border situation, coordinate with functional units to patrol and protect the border...
