Comrade Ho Trong Phuong holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province.

On the afternoon of July 1, 2025, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work. Attending and chairing the conference were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Y Ngoc, Tran Phuoc Hien and Nguyen Ngoc Sam.

At the Conference, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Ta Cong Dung announced the decisions to appoint officials and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

Accordingly, comrade Ho Trong Phuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province (old) was appointed to hold the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province (new, after merger).

Announcing the decisions to appoint Deputy Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province, including comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung, Nguyen Quang Trung, Dang Tran Huan, Huynh Van Liem, A Byot, Nguyen Duc Binh, Vo Minh Vuong.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province was established on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province (old) with the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Kon Tum province (old), with more than 2,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers. The unit officially came into operation from July 1, 2025.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, performing the function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of: agriculture; forestry; salt industry; fisheries; irrigation; rural clean water supply; dykes; natural disaster prevention and control; poverty reduction; rural development; land; water resources; mineral and geological resources; environment; hydrometeorology; climate change; surveying and mapping; integrated management of resources and protection of the marine and island environment; remote sensing; state management of public services in the fields under its management according to the provisions of law.
