The contestants went through two rounds of online and in-person competition. The competition on October 7 was the final round with 25 contestants. The total prize of the competition was 20 million VND.
In addition to the contestants' performances, the event also featured Zumi - one of the veteran and experienced cosplayers in the Japanese and international cosplayer community.
As a fan of cosplay and Japanese comics, Nhu Ngoc (18 years old, Phu Nhuan district) said that when she saw the information about the event, she decided to participate without hesitation.
"Today I am very happy to meet many friends with the same interests.
I am also a cosplayer, attending exchanges like this helps me learn more about makeup, style and love for this very Japanese culture," Ngoc expressed.

Thinking about Nhu Ngoc, Kim Hong (18 years old) was impressed with the cosplay of characters from the games Genshin, Honkai and the cartoon Pokemon at the event.
"When people see people wearing cosplay costumes, they think it's cumbersome, hot, or expensive. But in reality, they only feel happy when they can transform into their favorite character.
As someone who studies Japanese culture, I think it's great to be myself in a community like me. Even if it takes months of preparation to make clothes, accessories, order hair styles, and practice the character's demeanor, it's worth it," Kim Hong expressed.
