Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project through Dong Nai: Nearly 80 hectares of land for construction have been handed over so far.

At the second 30-day campaign review conference, units in Dong Nai province reported that nearly 20 hectares out of 60 hectares in the section passing through Bien Hoa City had been handed over to the investor, while approximately 56 hectares out of 230 hectares in the section passing through Long Thanh district had been handed over.

Regarding the surveyed area, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City and the People's Committee of Long Thanh District stated that the agencies responsible for surveying land for compensation in the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project have basically completed 100%.

Local authorities are continuing to expedite the approval of compensation and support plans for residents and the disbursement of investment funds.

However, in each locality, there are still hundreds of cases where the verification of land ownership has not been completed.

Explaining the obstacles affecting the progress, local authorities said that in many cases, houses and properties were built on land belonging to others, so according to regulations, ownership must be determined and the necessary documents completed, which has taken a lot of time in determining compensation prices and developing compensation plans.

In addition, many land parcels overlap with the boundaries of high-voltage power lines, requiring consultation on compensation and support plans... This has significantly affected the project's progress.

Mr. Vo Tan Duc, acting chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, assessed that the inventory and verification of land ownership were difficult tasks of the project, but local departments and agencies have worked day and night to clear the land for the project.

However, the goal of handing over the entire project site before June 30th could not be achieved.

Therefore, local authorities are making every effort and concentrating their resources to achieve the goal of handing over all the land for project construction by July 2024.

"To accomplish this, relevant departments and localities must complete the approval of compensation and support plans for all remaining cases and the resettlement process for the households," Mr. Duc emphasized.

The section of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway passing through Dong Nai is over 34km long.

The Biên Hòa - Vũng Tàu expressway construction project in Đồng Nai province spans approximately 34.2km (6.2km through Biên Hòa city and 28km through Long Thành district).

Specifically, component project 1 (passing through Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh District, with the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee as the investor) has a length of 16km and requires the acquisition of over 137 hectares of land.

In component project 2, the approximately 18.2km section (managed by the Ministry of Transport ) has a total land acquisition area of ​​over 151.5 hectares.
