AE Resort – Cua Tung Eco-Urban Area Project continues to have its progress extended

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the adjustment of the investment policy and approving the investor for the AE Resort - Cua Tung Marine Eco-Urban Area project.

Accordingly, the project continues to implement the construction of the investment contents of phase 1 including 100 villas, 32 shophouses, technical infrastructure system, entertainment area and other utility service areas until the fourth quarter of 2027. At the same time, carry out land allocation procedures, land lease and related procedures to organize the construction of investment targets in phase 2 according to the project planning.

The AE Resort - Cua Tung Marine Ecological Urban Area Project, invested by AE Group Joint Stock Company, was granted an investment policy in April 2018. The project covers an area of ​​36.54 hectares, stretching over 1.2 km of coastline with a total investment of nearly 493 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021. However, after more than 6 years since the groundbreaking date, the project is still "shelved". Recently, in September 2023, Quang Tri province decided to adjust the completion schedule to the third quarter of 2024, but the project has yet to take shape.

According to the decision to adjust the investment policy that has just been issued, Quang Tri province requires AE Group Joint Stock Company to urgently invest in the construction of project items on the allocated land area, and lease land to ensure the adjusted progress. In case the project continues to be behind schedule, the investor will not be refunded the investment guarantee deposit and will be considered for handling violations and terminating the project according to regulations.
